Title: Someone asked me "Why do you want 2000 feet of runway"
Post by: One-Eye on February 12, 2011, 06:34:27 PM
Silly question! Someone's got to deliver the paint. Not to mention pick up the fresh-brew (ahem!). For my wind down this evening, I have been doing some TAGs and CABs... I'll tell you one thing, you don't want to try this with a full fuel load and no wind...

That high ground off 05 needs some careful avoidance! As for approach, well, it might be a tad easier without them trees, but Eagleskinner is a tree-hugger at times, so your approach is more a "plummet". TOGAs work fine enough, because you are carrying inertia, but full stops are "white knuckle" stuff. Once I have finished PF22 "Eagleskinner's Place" you can all try. You will sweat! And you will enjoy!
