FTX and GEX do they work together?
« on: August 24, 2011, 11:58:04 AM »
Guys just wondering if these scenery addons work together?

Thats is FXT's PFJ,PNW,NRM and flight1's GEX USA-Canada?

Does anyone use these together, if so how do you set them up in scenery list?

Regards

Good question but needs to be asked at the sites that provide or support that software.  IE: ORBX, Flight1 etc.  Asking here might get the correct answer OR somebody's idea of the correct answer that might send you off into neverland.  Always go to the horse's mouth first (its less smelly that way).

Yes, they work together, but there is no enhencement in all of the FXT's PFJ,PNW,NRM,CRM areas, as these Orbx scenries covers all!
Some say, FSX runs a lot better if it's leaner and meaner.
Well, I think it depends on the system. I have UTX Can-USA-Alaska and GEX NA installed (before I ever had FTX-sceneries)  and I leave them on my disk.
They are useful when flying out of FTX-land.

Over at the FTX forums there is a compatibility forum ( I think) or at least a good thread on how to make sure UTX plays nice with FTX areas.  Mostly concerning night lighting I'm pretty sure.
