CIRP Hovercraft
« on: June 01, 2019, 10:26:26 AM »
Hello

Can I ask for some clarification, please:

There is no virtual cockpit [like in the aircraft] nor any internal views such as 'looking backwards' at passengers.
The driving views are either:
  • outside with a panel overlay, or
inside looking forward with a panel overlay
The hovercraft does look good from the outside all lit up but is there any way to boost the forward lighting?
All I see are two white dots [nav lights?]- see pic [I do not have 3d redux lighting] which are so ineffectual it makes driving at night impossible.

Thank you
Josh

You are correct.  Those VC views are broken.  They did work, but don't now.   :'(  It would be nice if Rod or someone could fix that.  Maybe someday.  :P

I recommend the shockwave 3D redux lights.   ;)

(Why are you running around in the woods at night anyway?   :o  ;D )

Jeff - nothing sinister I assure you!! ;)

In my defence I quote from the Hovercraft pdf:

"The object is fully “lit up” for night operations. Flashing strobes and REDUX lighting if you
have it. Being out on the ice at night is a lot of fun."

And I checked an old friend who has the redux app [v2a I think] to see if it would work in my P3D.
Seems I need FSX and no matter what we try we can't trick it into installing into P3D. :( :'(

Regards
Josh

I'm not sure if I "installed" to P3D.  Most likely that I copied the files from FSX to P3D.  I have the shockwave lights in my effects folder, and they work.   ;)  (... also Shockwave_Lights.cab in the gauges folder).   :P

Hmmm - I might have to install FSX and copy the files across..from what I've seen it will be worth the effort.
