RTMM ICON A5
« on: December 29, 2018, 11:02:47 AM »
Hello,
some time ago, Doug pointed me to a very nice small flying vehicle.....the ICON A5.

This is an very interesting small (two-seater) amphibious and nice designed airplane for short hop`s between our RTMM locations. And it should fit very nice into our RTMM fleet.....

I´m actually doing a RTMM paintscheme for it and like to share some WIP screenshots with you.
Most part of the painting is already down so it should soon be finished.
Just some small corrections and the Interiors have still to be Done.

Edit:
The repaint ist for the Freeware airplane at rikoooo ICON A5 by Markus Koerner.
It works for FSX and P3D v2,3 and 4.

I've been flying this one for some time now (of course not with the COMING SOON repaint Klaus has made for us). This is a VERY interesting airplane to fly, especially if you like to see scenery out the windshield ... and we have plenty of scenery at RTMM.

Many of our flight plans are SHORT land/water hops at RTMM. This aircraft is perfect for those short hops. It is an amphib which gives us the versatility we need for various landing sites.

If you'd like to add something different to your hangar, I highly recommend this one.  And MANY THANKS to Klaus for this beautiful Misty Pain Scheme.

Doug

Looks interesting and quite the open view from the cockpit- a nice scenery explorer for sure!. For usability in the MFC system, have added the ICON A5 to the MFC fleet database: It will appear in Cigar Box as:
Reg N0A5MM - ICON - ICON A5 (and will start adding the Icon A5 (asap) as a select able aircraft on all of the MFC tours).

OK, the new repaint by Klaus is "up" on the Enhancements page.  For personal choices, I now have two, the Misty Aerosoft Beaver Amphib and now this new aircraft, the Icon A5.  This is an amazing aircraft for being freeware, and with Klaus's magic touch, it will be a beautiful addition to your hangar.

Amphibs are difficult to find for some reason, so this immediately fits one of our key criteria. It handles beautifully and will give you the "view" from the cockpit of our breathtaking geographical area like no other aircraft.

Thank you Klaus for the beautiful repaint!

I have the ICON A5 up and running in RTMM livery by Klaus' (Great job Klasu). I have used this A5 on the last four MFC flights. A fun plane and can it get up to 130-140 kts so plenty fast enough to navigate the trips that make here. (I have added that ICON A5 to the MFC fleet (as per my forum post) and today updated all the tours to show the A5 as a select able aircraft.. a fun little plane.

Wonderful job again and thank-you Klaus for this special RTMM livery. (And to you as well Doug for finding this this little gem).

Thank you, (again) Klaus.  I've applied your paint to my A5 and it is a beautiful job you've done.  Great.  :-* :)

Thank you All!
I‘m so glad you like the painting for this small airplane.

The design of the ICON A5 is really beautiful und clever.
The Interiours are more looking like a car cockpit than a typical airplane cockpit.
I like the design of the big canopy providing an excellent view and it‘s opening mechanism is really cool.

But the most cool feature is the wingfold option which makes it possible parking the A5 even in a car garage or carried on a car trailer. It‘s beautiful, the author of the simulator version did build that wingfold animation into the 3D-model. It‘s fun watching the animation folding the wings.....

Thank you Doug for discovering this plane for us!
It was fun painting it!

Do you know how to adjust the pilot's view?   :-\

     -Use Shift+ENTER/Shift+backspace to move up/down.
     -Use Ctrl+ENTER/Ctrl+backspace to move forward/back.
     -Use Ctrl+Shift+ENTER/Ctrl+Shift+backspace to move Left/Right.

It helps to look straight down at the pilot's seat while centering yourself left/right and forward/back, then look straight ahead to adjust head height.   ;)

... oh, also might adjust "zoom level" with -/+ keys to suit your field of view.   :)

Thanks for that
No help unfortunately
All other views are ok including external ones
It seems the support pillar on the pilots side is missing the top half-rather strange!
Corrupt install?
