ATC Problem
« on: May 03, 2018, 11:42:50 PM »
Since I installed P3Dv4.2 (client only) I have had an intermittent problem with ATC communication.  I can select ATC from the menu and will get a list of possible contact items.  eg

Choose option for Kenai Traffic...
1. Choose Kenai Traffic....
2. Tune PAIL Automated weather...

However if I select 1 nothing happens.  If I select 2 nothing happens.  It is as if my keyboard is no longer communicating with the program.  I am using a logitech MK710 wireless keyboard and a logitech M705 wireless mouse.  They work with all other programs and functions.  Anyone else had the problem?

Yes Jim.. 4.2 has a known ATC bug or problem in it - it's not your install.

The ATC issue at Prepar3d is a forum that is 11 pages long..

Yep, that was the response I got.

Look closely at that menu and see if the actual menu is grayed and not white. That is how mine looks when it happens. Most of the time, just no menu items at all. Load the default scenario, go to navigation, go to airport and put in the airport you want to leave from and load it up select plane you want to use and then try your ATC. It usually works afterwards.

Thanks for the prompt responses.  I will try the option of BBQSteve this afternoon.  Otherwise will wait for LM to correct.
