RTMM Douglas C47 N047MM WIP
« on: April 09, 2018, 04:28:03 PM »
Hello,
I´m working on a RTMM paintscheme for the iconic Douglas C47.

There`s still some work to do a...the engines need some more paint and some decals have to be adjusted or added...also the beautiful silver aluminium fuselage will be polished clear of any old decals....

But I´d like to share a few first pictures.....

One of my fav aircraft and it will look great (and fly better) dressed in your RTMM livery Klaus.
Thank-you in advance.

This is going to be a real beauty. MFC now has two tours for the C-47.  With this great repaint I bet we can coax some more C-47 tours out of Norm!

Thank you Klaus! Beautiful!

Yes indeed.. C-47 3.14 beta..  A few tours at MFC with the C-47 now!!. Fun trips and some landings (and takeoff's) on short fields can be a real challenge. And almost time to give them a try it out as we showcase  Klaus's C-47 Livery! Things always work better in an airplane that has meaningful livery!.

This is plane is a really amazingnfrom a painters view, too.
Just started playing with the v3 paintkit. Really great!!

The paint kit contains photoshop psd files with layers for decals, rivets, wear etc.
That‘s really payware quality!

I got hooked on that plane way back in the FSX tutorials...African Mission or something. Love the old, well-worn cabin look and the old gauges. Flies pretty nicely, too.

I had the C-47 in question but due to the un-conventional interior views, about 15 of which are not needed in my opinion, and unable to find an outside locked spot view I deleted it.  Due to the enthusiastic acclaim in this thread I've re-downloaded it but still unsatisfied with the view.
PLUS after loading the C-47 with the screwed up views it effects the views on subsequently loaded A/C as well which is completely unacceptable to me.
Of course this time I might just take time to read the "manual"; getting too brazen and 'set in my ways' as age develops into being impatient.

What unconventional views ? I haven't noticed any, and the spot view is normal too. What in the world have you done big guy ? I just fired up the sim to be sure, but the views look good to me.

Lots of views..  S to switch the view modes, A to toggle various views inside each view mode.

Spud, on that same forum page the DL came from, scroll down. Someone else mentioned a problem, like a curtain between the pilot and the panel? Their reply was that it's an eyepoint problem and to move the view forward.  Anyway, for what it's worth.
