Tour 25 complete.   If you havn't flown it yet you are in for a challenge.  Jim Smith MFC0010

Well James we had a tad of tour 25 leg problems but got them rectified. Not an easy trip for sure and there are some very unexpected landing locations here: not idea but nevertheless challenging..lol.
Nice job and the award for MFC0025 Chitina-Kennecot has been added to your pilot's profile.

MFC009 completed  on 1/19/19 by MFC0019 Jim Ryan, choosing the CH47 was not my best idea. The winds up in CIRP had me reaching for the Ralph bag

Just finished MFC 0003 Ketchikan Sea Base Ops.  Some very amazing scenery and flights.  Lots of rain and some snow, but all and all very enjoyable.
Thanks John

--------------------------------------------
MFC0003 Ketchikan Sea Base Ops completed 20/1/19  Greg Gordon MFC0079
--------------------------------------------

At almost the same UTC or zulu time MFC Pilots John Lynn (MFC0078) and Greg Gordon (MFC0079) completed tour MFC0003 Ketchikan Sea Base Ops.

A very scenic trip with some interesting routes. Now as a time warp or interestingly, John's completion came today Jan 19 from the USA and Greg's completion also shows today however in Greg's time it really was TOMORROW (Jan 20) based on his local New Zealand time. (Time travel lol ( time zones) can be a confusing but interesting concept.)

Nice job guys and the MFC0003 award now appears on both your pilot profiles.

Norm

(PS: Greg: During this MFC00003 trip you also accumulated 100 Hours of MFC flight time. Congratulations.

Good thing that was the quick fly by trip Jim. Weather sure can be a killer up here with gale force winds, blowing snow and icy temps!. Carb Heat, De-Icer! Pitot Heat, Cabin heat on full and hot toddy or stronger is required!.

Nice dangerous flying conditions but you got the MFC0009 CIRP Circuit pass done and the award has been added to your pilot's profile.

Norm

(PS: A full CIRP excursion will come later on the year when we eventually get back to Stewart.)

MFC0007 complete. 20/01/2019. Michel Geneste MFC0082.

I had a problem landing at Fraser Lake (CBZ9). The scenery completely crazy. A mesch problem i think. Can not do a normal landing.

Understand Michel. Sure makes it more difficult to landing when the ground is not exactly stable or at a correct elevation. (And the short fields don't help cause you have a small window to get the aircraft down and stopped). That would explain that tough landing at that stop-over that was harder than your normal landings in that Basler BT67 on this tour!. Nice recovery on the landing at the final stop of that leg. The MFC0007 completion award has been add to your decorations.

For sure Jim.. nasty there, nasty here..  Since yesterday early afternoon it's been freezing here. At 7am today it was -31C or -23.8F). Arg.. a might chilly.   Temp is "up to" -4F right now and windy - (11:20am ET). Almost like a balmy day now compared to the last 24 hours.!! Makes being inside a fun place to be either flying in the sim or build another tour! .lol.

Norm got your message, not sure how this happened, but this is what happened, classic case of haste makes waste. In hurrying to finish, I got every thing set up except I didn't  get the flight plan entered into the sim, I loaded the FP and in error hit the button to set aircraft and departure airport. I looked at the Box but didn't see it recorded it or I would have  started from scratch. So do you want me to redo the leg again or not, it probably will be Mon or so, I'm going up to the McCall ID Ice Festival where they do ice sculptures all along the main street, 2nd year going up there Jim
