It's cold up here!
« on: November 05, 2017, 02:59:42 PM »
After spending the morning fixing my Scenery Library and getting PAVD loaded correctly, taking the afternoon off and flying from Valdez to Wasilla.  It is snowing heavily at the lower levels, but up here you can see forever. It is -6C outside. (The great thing about our hobby is we have conquered time and space ... tonight I'm going to fly a sunset trip around Oahu in 80 degree F weather!)

My default flight for FSX is my now my new home airport of Caldwell Industrial Airport, KEUL in Idaho, When it opens now it shows snow on the ground and winter textures in the trees. In real life though and we have had some below freezing temps, the snow has stayed up in the hills and nutin' in Treasure Valley and far as I'm concerned after last winter and then with the flooding afterwards it can just stay that way. Don't mind  flying in IMC on the sim with ice ETC, but not  for real, don't have a hot prop, boots, HELL it don't even have a heated pitot
