I was trying to install Prepar3d and had it running at one time.  But then had problems and tried to reinstall.  The problem was I could never completely uninstall.  Every time I tried, it wanted to fix the original install, which it could never do.

So I finally gave up and have reinstalled FSX.  Thankfully in appears to be running very well.  Nearly all of my ORBX scenery has been installed and my most used airplanes.

This started out with some very painful days but is now doing pretty good.  There is light at the end of the tunnel....grin

In retrospect there must be someway to totally uninstall Prepar3d but I sure couldn't find it.  I deleted every file that had anything to do with Prepar3D but obviously didn't find them all.

At least I am flying again.

Thanks for the response.  But they can't be deleted from the Programs and Files.  There are two Prepar3D files
 in the folder.  The 3D Professional and the P3d scenery. I try deleting and neither will delete.  They just act like they are trying to reinstall.  I have never had a program which I can't delete.

Thanks for your response but I am at a loss as to what to do.  It seems the only way to remove them is to reformat the drives.  I don't intend to do that.

Hi Tom,
     I use Iobit Uninstaller to remove programs from my HD.  Have you tried an uninstaller program?

To uninstall it's easy : launch the setup .exe  client and you have the choice to uninstall , no more .

And why the professional P3D ??
