Spud, they're worried about you over at Bushpounders. I took the liberty of telling them about the ransomware, and wipe. Here's a link, figuring you might need it.

Can't use Restore as the only date available is two days ago.  My system was wiped clean and all HD's reformatted after ransom ware problems.
Had not considered FSX Steam but it is a possibility.  Not sure If my ORBX scenery (approx 30 payware) will D/L or work if I go that route.  I have not even attempted to get PFJ and other sim scenery to install as the sim isn't working.

Thanks Sue, I'm back on that site but like one other time I can't find the URL for the Old Timers forums we are both a member of.  Could you give me that URL?

Has Spud disappeared for good? Just wondering if anyone's heard from him lately.

I was just thinking about him yesterday.  He has been away far too long.   :'(

If I didn't know better that after all of his problems, crashes, HDD failures, OS system issues etc., it sounds like he bought a lemon. OUCH!

Ditto. That way I have no one to blame but myself when things go south and then fix them myself.

The computer isn't a lemon.  Its been flawless for over 5 years before I was dumb enough to get the ransomware.  The second trip was a problem with inputs so that was a computer problem.  Just one of those disastrous PITA things that not having a good backup will happen when you least expect it.
In any case I'm hopefully back for awhile.
