;)  They look like lawn sprinklers.  Someone is watering the beaches.   :o :P ::) ;D

I have discovered that this issue is not related to AI or other aircraft.  It is caused by the "Ultra" water setting.  Turning your water down a notch to "High" will flatten them back out.  ;)

note:  If you want rolling waves in stormy weather, you MUST use the ULTRA setting.  Just turn it down when you come into port, so the waves on the beach settle down.  ;)

Found the Wake files and dropped them in the effects folder and overwrote, but they do not look any different.. I wonder if I already had them in? but I don't think so. Teecee.

Orbx has issued Vector for P3Dv4.  After installing, I went to Kodiak and was plagued with vertical surf.  I went to another area and saw them in that location.  Went to the Orbx site and found the fix.  This fixed it for me.

"Please try re-installing the libraries.
You can do this by deleting
ORBX\User Documents\Versions\FTX_AA_ORBXLIBS.TXT
This will update the libraries again without a massive download."

Good find Dex and Doug should add this information to the RTMM P3D v4 forum for other users to be aware of.

Thanks again,

Brad

Following questions arrise in relation to the provided wakes in reply #9:
There are 142 effect files provided.

I'm running P3Dv4 and I have the 2 Henrik Nielsen gloabal AI ships packages installed, additionally the "RTMM A.I. Shipping Projects".

I assume that the 142 wakes are a summary of all effects from these 3 packages. Is that correct?
Indeed there are many effects I don't have in my installation (coming with the mentioned installed 3 packages).
What am I missing?

Are those RTMM ships/boats from older packages like "Bella Coola Marine", Norwegian Sun", "Misty log Barge" and other ones are utilisable in P3Dv4?
Many greetings
Dieter

The wakes that were provided were missing the "use average surface" statement.

;)     This fixes the issue I was seeing also with the vertical surf waves on ULTRA water setting.  Now I can crank up the water to ultra and not worry about the waves sticking up and looking like lawn sprinklers.  Yay!

Thanks Dex for posting this.   8)

I am not experiencing any problems with those vessels.  The only one that would concern me is the log and garbage barges.

Thanks for answering.

Sorry, another problem came up for me:
I installed the "RTMM AI Shipping Project V2.0" under Win10/P3D v4 (all with latest updates)
I experience problems with all ships of:
- \MY_CargoA
- \MY_CargoC
I only see the ships' wakes moving in the sea and smoke coming from an unvisible chimney, but there isn't any ship to be seen.
All others of the "RTMM AI Shipping Project V2.0" packages seems to be ok. I use provided updated wakes.
Many greetings
Dieter

Thanks, I'll have a look.  Perhaps they need a conversion.
