Question on the .KMZ update file RTMM4GE. My GE has gotten hosed over the years...duplicates and triplicates, and trying to unclick areas from a very extensive tree isn't doing the job. I'd like to start  from scratch. So my question is, what exactly does this update file cover? For instance, I've got KMZ's of:

CIRP
Misty Moorings
ORBX Regions
FTX PFJ (and a PFJ Coverage SP1), SAK, and PNW.

Do I still need those or does this file cover those areas?

Hi jsapair,

RTMM4GE map covers all published RTMM locations/sceneries, including CIRP and the recently released Cabins by the Lakes II, and is updated regularly. Since RTMM sceneries are "sitting" inside Orbx regions (plus Tongass Fjords), I've added them to the map as boundaries (no Orbx airports to avoid clutter and duplication). So, basically, the map will show you Orbx and Tongass boundaries for orientation so that you know which Orbx region (PNW, PFJ, SAK, and/or TFX) you need to fly to/from a particular RTMM location.

In addition, the map contains detailed info and links (flight maps, Snow Dogs and BWEP routes, images, wiki data, etc.) about RTMM stuff, similar to what you can find on this website. But you can always add layer(s) from other KMZ files (e.g. Orbx airports) in your Google Earth session, if for instance you're planning to fly to/from a particular Orbx airport to/from RTMM location.

Thanks, Rustam. That was how I read it on your DL page but it sounded too good to be true so I thought I'd double check. As Jackie Gleason used to say, for those who remember him, "How sweet it is!"

The Honeymooners was 'To the moon, Alice." The "Jackie Gleason" weekly variety show featured him as Joe the bartender and he'd finish with that little side shuffle and a "How sweet it is". He could really move for a big guy.

Still a problem, Rustam. Empty file. When I DL it from H2T and unzip it I get a 1KB file dated 6-25-2017. When I DL it from the original post I get a 1KB file dated 8-23-2017. When I open it in GE anyway I get the RTMM label in My Places with nothing under it.

Don't DL the map from H2T - it's probably the old file without the "auto-update" feature. I'd recommend you check the original post for future updates. The DL link is also there.

I've just downloaded the zip file from the original post, extracted and opened the KMZ map in GE. It works as it should... Do you mean you don't you see the following in your GE?
