So, my GE Force Experience needed updating, too. OK. After it deleted the old version it crashed without installing the new version, leaving me with nothin'. :o  That's okay...I needed something to do this afternoon anyway.

Like they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I've found this especially true of video drivers. Usually the driver patches are for improving things in the latest games, which I never need.

This one supposedly cures the VAS leakage in P3D. Probably won't hurt FSX either.

If it wasn't for this, I would have let it be but if this actually works, very worth the effort to get the update working.  So far no issues after the update.

I am happy with this driver.  I just switched to Nvidia, and this is my "first one".  Still having growing pains switching from AMD to Nvidia.  Glad they fixed that VAS thing.    :)

Thanks for the info LouP. If it really does fix VAS issues it would be worth it. I'm always very hesitant to upgrade for the sake of it just because something new is available.

Update:  Be careful with this.  All of a sudden after updating with these drivers, my PC is shutting down while using FSX.  I am in the process of rolling back my oc to see if that helps, if not, I'll be rolling back the video drivers.  Grrr

Updated the Nividia drivers without difficulty and they seem to work fine with FSX (DX9).
Not related to the driver but about the same time something scrambled the order of my FSX Scenery Library placing all OZx and FTX scenery at the top of the library.  I suspect the update to FTX Central v3 was the culprit that caused a few hours of rearranging the Library back to the way its supposed to be.
Sim runs fine now and the driver seems to be OK for me.

Well at least we now have a quick reference, from yours, mine, and other prior posts, on the proper Library insertion points. Makes things a little simpler. But, I thought this re-arranging problem with the installation of FTX Central3 was past history. Not so, huh?

Eliminate the headache of a needless few hour rearrangement when things go south by backing up your scenery library regularly using the Scenery Config Editor. Restore the damage in 10 seconds instead.

If I could find some instructions on how to use the Scenery Config. Editor I'd probably do just that.  I did finally figure out how to move entries en-mass which helped a great deal with the re-ordering of my Lib.
Without written instructions the Config. Editor can be a dangerous tool if  your not sure what does what.

I tried moving blocks of entries in SCE and had things FUBAR in no time. There's probably a help file in there, I just never took the time to look for it.
