Cool - just rediscovered my flight replica super cub ultra - been doing touch and goes at ultima thule.

As a side note, Lloyd Roundtree used to wash his grumman goose off every night by flying up to Petersburg Lake and doing a touch and go to wash off the salt water before he put it to bed for the night

Actually I was simi-serious because while aviating for the U.S. Navy it was approved to fly through rain storms at sea (NOT Thunderstorms) to give the A/C a freshwater wash.  Fresh water is a premium at sea as the ship has to de-salinate sea water to produce it and 3000 thirsty grimey sailors use a lot.  Using nature helps conserve water for other purposes.
