Jan 2 in Hilton Head SC

This is crazy!

Was that a butterfly?  (Yep)  A bee after a dandelion bloom?  (Yep)  Fan going on the porch to stay comfortable? (Yep).  That what Jan 2, 2017 looks like near Hilton Head.

...And it didn't rain as it said.  So a typical summer day here, almost too hot for fishin'  (but not quite).

Doug,
just a question about fishin' in Hilton Head, can you buy dynamite there?  Saves money on bait!

Careful you don't step on a pop-top and blow out a flip-flop, Doug.

Not real balmy here today, either.

Since Steve and I both live just outside of Cleveland, I am sure he is as jealous as I am.  I do miss the Florida winter but it is in the 40s and raining here today....not bad for early January!

Here in Olympia, WA it is not quite as cold as Jeff is having, but the Hummingbirds woke up to a frozen feeder.  Fortunately I had a warm one ready to go so they stayed happy..  I assume..grin

Who says we don't like the snow or outdoor cold weather activities? Snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating and sled riding are great fun. Sun worshipers, eat your hearts out.

Winter activities are indeed fun.  But, I would rather choose when I want to see, play, work, live experience SNOW.  Talked to my brother last night and the old home town only has 4' of the white stuff right now.  Growing up we could expect snow starting in late NOV. and spring thaw in late APR or early MAY.  I'm sorry but 5-6 months of the white stuff gets old after a few years.  In fact I'm no longer bow legged from walking on snow shoes!
