Water landings
« on: December 09, 2016, 06:17:35 PM »
When I started my first water landing experience, an RTMM member advised me to try Aikin Creek Camp because of the buoys showing you were to land and start.
Are there still other RTMM sceneries that have such buoys to guide me in and out...?
Thanks.
Marcel

Wow, Aiken is one of the toughest landings we have.  If you like to taxi, land at Misty's Place and taxi to the ramp at night...fun with the buoys.  Also we have many river runs where whole rivers are with buoys that flash at night. These are fun at dusk following a river. The Landings at Alistair Lake is fun. Start at the Brad's, take off and follow the river and buoys to the resort up on the lake.

You'd be surprised at how much RTMM comes alive from dusk to dark A whole different aspect. The crew has done a great job 24/7, 365.

I'm a real boat man, so I know about the river runs. But I never thought about trying to follow the buoys by plane. I'll give it a try.
As for the Aikin creek landing, when the weather is nice and you have an appropriate plane on hand (I love the Aviat Husky), there is really no problem to make a nice landing over there.
BTW the link to the video of Robert Pomerleau does not seem to work...?
Cheers
