Airport not Found
« on: November 25, 2016, 01:53:51 AM »
I'm using P3D and PF3.
When I generate a flight plan say from FAIRBANKS to BLACK RAPID LODGE, the plan generates in P3d, but PF3 does not find BRL1 (BLACK RAPID LODGE) in its database.
Have run all the, add scenery, PF3 database, MakeRwys.
I've put this question into PF3 forum as well, I tried generating a flight plan the same in FSC and it also didn't find BRL1.
Its happening on many occasions, with small add-on airports?
Any ideas?

PF3??
do you mean P3D?  If so I can't respond as I do not use that sim.  I'm sure someone who does will jump in with a response.
As for FSX both Black Rapids Lodge and Black Rapids airport are listed in the goto Airport screen.
Black Rapids airport = 5BK
Black Rapids Lodge =  BRL1 (this is in the water at the dock)

 8) Plan G.   http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/   never heard of PF3.  I agree with Spud, they are both in the go to airport list in P3D 3 also.

"D" and "F" are keyboard neighbors. I interchange them upon occasion too. :) Fat fingers.

BJ may be referring to the ATC software from OnCourse Software.  It is named PF3.....just a thought...

BRL1 is the runway for the AI Float and the AI Ski plane.  If you go to that dock location, your AI won't operate.

Right now its the only ICAO in the 'Goto Airport' section for the Lodge at Black Rapids.  If you spawn your A/C there DEX are you saying that the AI will not work even if you move off the location?  If so perhaps a dock location or one for the R/W can be added to the Lodge scenery.

I have it working, Makerwys only recognises runways over 1500 feet, by creating a shortcut to makerwys and entering in the target path after the quotes /<0/water, it will create all runways, even on water. I think this is most helpful for flying some of the smaller airports in RTMM. This advice came from Peter Dowson Offical forum of FSUIPC.
It gave me over 5000 extra runways.

Mystery solved.  Of course PF3 is not supported at RTMM but glad you found an answer and it will help other who may use the program or future problem solving users.
