Jordan Lake Cabin
« on: March 07, 2011, 11:59:06 AM »
Just installed this new scenery.
What I see is a canoe, a small hut, some small equipment and smoke. Within the the smoke I can hardly see  the cabin,  somewhere in the air, small as a dot. Probably an error in the bgl?

Dieter
Many greetings

That's more likely the source of the smoke, Brad use a full sized smoking cabin for smoke, he reduces the scale right down, that only affects the cabin, the smoke remains the same, virtually every smoking cabin you see will have a tiny cabin in it's chimney stack, but you should not be able to see it though, so that's an oddity.

The main cabin object is missing. It's in Xaviers libraries which you will need installed and active in FSX. The zip for his library if objects is included in the Sewall Lodge scenery we added this past weekend.

Check that please,

Brad

I have the Xaviers libraries installed. (No problems with Sewall Lodge)

The cabin is there but tiny:

That's not the cabin. Like Kim said, I take a cabin that has a smoke effect embedded in it and I will shrink it very small so that it can be hidden in a smoke stack, chimney, etc.

If you have his library of objects installed, I don't know why you're not seeing his cabin.

I would suggest uninstalling and trying a re-installation of that file.

Hmmm, still curious because there are several trees placed by Xavier that aren't showing up on those last few shots. I know this because I moved the outhouse so that it was placed right next to a tree that Xavier had previously placed.

So, check your scenery complexity settings maybe? Not sure why those don't show up. The trees that I'm speaking of are NOT autogen. They are part of the vegetation library objects.

Unless they are FSX acceleration trees and you don't have acceleration? Just random thoughts on this.

Brad,
I have Xavier's library installed but I'm not aware of a "vegetation library"  is this a separate library?  If so is it in the scenery library?

Well, I downloaded and installed the file again, now the cabin is there.  :)
Don't know, what happened before.

And a lot of trees around.

Excellent. The cabin is there and that's good, but the trees are still missing. The trees I'm speaking of are large evergreen trees placed around the cabin. They are default FSX objects. Not custom by Xavier. So, still a little puzzled why some of u are seeing them, some are not.

I'll see about making an updated file with the trees for us where they should be.
