Greetings I have a large problem I'm hoping someone in this forum has had it also and found the solution.
I am running P3DV3.3 latest version. I am getting back into scenery design and have the P3DV3 compatible Instant Scenery installed or I should say re-installed again and again. The only way I can get IS3 to show up in the sim menu is to: First disable Active Sky Next in the dll.xml file in the roaming section of my root drive. Then I have to freshly install IS3 anytime the computer has been shut down. Then I have to use the module installer fresh each time I reload P3D and I have to load IS3 manually. Here is the error message I get otherwise:

So far no one including the developer have been able to help. Fingers crossed. There has to be some simmer out there that has P3D and IS3 that doesn't have to resort to my fix.

Hi Tom,
     Welcome to the RTMM forum.  I can only tell you that I use IS3 with P3Dv3.3, with no problems.  It looks like your computer can't find "Simconnect" for some reason.

Tom,

Have you tried to install the simconnect youself?

The can be found in [Your P3Dv3 folder]\redist\Interface\

There are a few versions there and I think FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib\SimConnect.msi is one that should be used for P3Dv3.

Thank you Jeff and Dayle.

Jeff please tell me what your settings are. Are you using 3.3.5.17625 as LM latest version? Do you have FSUIPC, and Active Sky Next? I have literally spent days trying to figure this out. It seems that when I shut down the computer overnight that somehow the registry key or something happens that requires me to re-install IS3 and then once I have to reboot P3D I have to re-install the module. I have tried to install all the simconnects I could find. I did find a reference in the SDK that says that P3D doesn't even use simconnect except if you had a remote computer. I have looked the dll.xml in the roaming and the dll.xml in the program data for clues. There is no doubt that once the bootstrap file loads for Active Sky Next that it hijacks the simconnect because IS3 will not load with any of the above tricks. I'm willing to try about anything.
