Morseby Camp Sound Files
« on: August 21, 2016, 12:30:33 AM »
Might this file Moresby Camp Sounds .rar be available in .zip format rather than .rar? After a hard drive re-do I no longer have a program that will extract an .rar file. Just have the basic Win 7 programs. Thanks in advance.

I use a program called "7-zip".  It will open rar files.  Get it here ... http://www.7-zip.org/download.html   ;)

jsapair,
I tried to convert the file to a zip file for ya!  Matter of fact I used WIN RAR to do it.

BUT .... attachments are limited to 300 KB (???? Why?) and the converted file is 723 KB.
I assume admin has to convert it.

As a trial changed the extension from .rar to .zip, either before saving the download or after its on your HD, and see if it will unpack.

... or just get 7-zip and open it by right-clicking, selecting 7-zip, then selecting "open archive".  And it's FREE.

I assumed he doesn't want another archive program as he dumped RAR????

FWIW the 'basic WIN 7 programs' are well know to be next to useless.

Spud, thanks for trying. Jeff, just downloaded the program . I had Win Rar and 7Zip both on my old HDD. These things keep cropping up after starting over as I'm sure you guys know the hard way yourselves. This should do it. I just thought perhaps you admin folks might have a .zip version hanging around. Don't believe I've ever encountered a .rar file here before now. To infinity and beyond! Thanks for the input, Buzz Lightyear.

jsapair,
I have converted the file to a zip file, but, as I posted for some reason attachments are limited to 300KB on this board.  The converted file is 723KB so it will not let me attach it to my post.

Doug,
can you convert Morsby Camp Sounds to a .zip file?
