Wakes are vertical on AI Boats in P3Dv3.2

I installed the "Welcome to the RTMM A.I. Shipping Projects Updated 06.24.2014" into P3Dv3.2 and applied the wake effect fix which fixed the red wake and also stopped the wakes from going from the water surface straight up into the sky right behind the boat.

However, something keeps happening which rolls the effect files back to the original wake effects and returns the vertical wakes. I'm not exactly sure how this happens and seek input on what it could be and how I could go about fixing it.

My from the hip thoughts is that they get switched back when I switch regions in FTX Central but that seems far fetched. Additionally, I havent seen any other users having this problem so not sure exactly if anyone else has even dealt with this issue.

Its a great package and I have been using the AI boats since back in the day when we had individual small boat packages. the new all in one is great. I'd even be willing to just remove the wake effects if that was a permanent fix to the issue but with not knowing why the files keep getting rolled back wonder if those effect files would just re-appear later.
