Thanks for sharing NeptuneP2V7!  There are even subs with one partially submerged in periscope depth..  8) Hope our creative in-house AI aficionados in RTMM will look into these collections and introduce something new and different with AI projects in the future..  ;)

Thanks Spud.  That was a fix for the flags atop the mast.  There were three (or more) flags showing, instead of just one.  The fix gets rid of the extra flags.   ;)

After applying the fix I went out, trying to spot a masted sailing ship.  No luck, but holy mackerel!!  What a ride.  I was in my HMS Endeavor, sailing out of Roche Harbor.  I had a stiff 24 knot wind dialed in, pushing me in a southerly direction.  I have never been so thrilled to be going 15 knots in my life!  With all the sounds of waves crashing, seagulls crying, and footsteps on the deck, I thought I was going to get seasick!

The bridge.

I look forward to eventually finding sails on my horizon.   8)

Is this Endeavour useable in P3Dv2.4? I checked out the above link but it has 2004 and not FSX on the download. I'm looking to add some pilotable sailing ships and boats to my sim.

I was fortunate to travel on the "Duyfken"replica from Cairns to Port Douglas in FNQ while it was in Australia. It was an amazing experience to be able to look across the bow sprit at the coast and imagine that this is exactly the view those sailors, far from home in strange lands, would have experienced when gazing at the unfamiliar landscape back in 1606. Unlike modern sailing boats that has the sail power balanced against the keel and basically remains in that state as it pushes through the water, the old windjammer seems to rock from side to side constantly with a following wind and sea. If you haven't got something solid in your guts, and a small barrel of rum to help keep it there, that motion is bound to bring on a bout of seasickness! :o

Hello Kevin,
Yes, the "HMS Bounty" is P3D compatible.  The pics are in P3Dv2.5.  The HMS Endeavor is a variant of the Bounty.  It is a wind-driven model, and has no engines.  It is true sailing. (kinda).

Thanks to Marcel for this link, scroll down a bit to "HMS Bounty" related files.  Get the update and extra camera views also.  It's a hoot to cruise in.  http://simviation.com/1/browse-Misc-58-1

Full sails.

Just a reminder that the update to HMS Bounty I mentioned on page 1 is NOT for the regular Bounty sailing ship.  It is for the AI model that Henrick used in the AI Bounty in his ships.

Thanks for reminding me, Spud.  I've updated my post to reflect that fact.  ;)

Thanks for the replies. :) I installed last night and OMG! It is just an amazing addon...I just had to sail it from Ketchikan to Misty's and then had to try a voyage from Pago Pago to Ofu Village in Samoa! Had favourable winds but it rained the whole trip. Great for travelling around the coast and just a knot or two faster than the Cub with floats if you decide to take Heidi along with a full tank of gas!  ;D    I'm HOOKED!  8)

Great!    8)

------------------

OK!  Enough of that.  Back to the topic of "AI world ships", and all the wonderful traffic we now have, including the AI version of the HMS Bounty.  Any further talk of sailing may happily be taken up in a thread dedicated to that subject.  Thanks.   8)

That is all.   :)

I did not see anything new posted on this issue since september last year. Maybe it is interesting to remind the fans that there was an update published by Henrik Nielsen in april 2016. With the download and installation you are fully up to date with the latest complete version. You can overwrite without any problem old files and don't have to care anymore about the order of installation of the files. This is the link [urlhttp://www.avsim.com/topic/459116-global-ai-ship-traffic-fsx-and-p3d-news-and-support/page-61][/url] and this is the download link http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=194715.
Enjoy.

I saw that the message about the new release was already posted in the general discussion topic. So sorry about that...
Cheers.
