I've been sitting with v2.2 for a while now and waiting for the 'Dust' to settle on L.M. updates.
From all that I've read, It looks like 2.4 is good to go and I think it's time to move up a 'Notch'
I'm leaning towards a clean install of 2.4 rather than "patching".... and was wondering if anyone has any P2D 'Uninstall Tips' to share before I 'Rip-The Guts' out of all my RTMM + 3rd party add-ons
According to the LM Forums this appears to be the way to do it:
run the 2.2 setup.exe and choose 'uninstall
FAQ:
manually delete the following folders for v2:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 (or the modified install location)
%PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3D v2 Files
then use a registry cleaner, that should do it.
After those folders are removed, you can reinstall Prepar3D and everything should work as expected.
As always... your shared wisdom is appreciated !
