New BWEP (off pipeline) Additions

Spoiler's Lodge at RMP
Circle City Lodge at PACR
Wandering Lakes Lodge at 51Z

Although BWEP is not necessary for these, if you have BWEP, this gives you some locations to "fly to" that are "off the pipeline route." It will give you a feel for the country on both sides of the pipeline. All require ORBX Global Base/Vector.

On each of these I have "enhanced" the airport (mostly there were just a gravel strip with a couple buildings) and turned them into something that you would have fun seeing and exploring. These are NOT meant to be accurate as to what is really, there ... this is for our fun and pleasure. All are connected with roads to the nearby community. The lodges are NOT real, again we are guessing what something like this would look like in that area.

As the pipeline moves north, the lights (in winter particularly) grow dimmer. So a lot of attention has been paid to lighting, runways, roads, lodge paths, etc. To get the full effect fly at dusk or dawn. The nearby communities are lit up too. You can use the "road system" to drive to the lodge from the airport area.

Let us know if you see any problems with these. They are complex and we could have a glitch here and there. Hope you enjoy these new locations.  Startup documentation on them is on the Here2There page, on the GoTo table and on the Scenery page.

Updated Klutina Outfitters and Landmark Gap Lodge

I am removing objects out on the ice from some of the season switcher sceneries. Many people have "water freezes in winter" in Vector UNCHECKED, so they are showing water year around. Objects "on ice" appear to be floating in the water. Taking these objects out makes the sceneries more universal.

Also, a grass strip was put in to Landmark Gap Lodge, this is now RTMM's PF65. So as you update you may want to update your PlanG or VFRFlight to see the new airport.

So Klutina Outfitters and Landmark Gap Resort are now "updated" on the Scenery Page.

MISTY MULTIPLAYER is now ACTIVE - Misty Flying Club COMING SOON!

Norm Richards has set us up with MISTY MULTIPLAYER using FS Cloud and DISCORD. All of the instructions are on the new "MISTY FLYING CLUB" web page.

Yes, Misty Flying Club! COMING SOON you will have a Misty "VA". Only we care calling it a "club" because we are flying this one with "BUSH" rules.  Not as strict, and very easy for people to use in a bush environment. (Click on Web Page Name for linkage).

You will see the details on both of these projects on the new MISTY FLYING CLUB page.

Henry Kirk and Norm Richards are putting the finishing touches onto the Misty Flying Club server. Just a little more work to do.  Again, review the web page for all the details.

BWEP Repaint  -  Cerasim Sikorsky UH60L Blackhawk - Klaus Tröppner

This is a repaint for the Cerasim Sikorsky UH60L Blackhawk payware helicopter-addon for FSX. This repaint represents the fictitious Sikorsky UH60L N061MM of Blue Wave Energy Parners (BWEP).  Another beautiful repaint by Klaus!

CIRP - UPDATED with APPROACH LIGHTS

All CIRP Ice Stations have now been upgraded to have white flashing approach lights. This will help you locate them in bad weather and help you line up for the runway. This was done in anticipation of the CIRP Tours coming from the Misty Flying Club.  Also,  all of the smoke objects were replaced (they were demonstrating the "offset-smoke" problem. All are fixed. The only ice station not updated (because it already was) is Summit Ice Station, PF48, no need to re-download that one.

FRANCES LAKE LODGE - New Scenery Addition - by Brad Allen

Here is a beautiful lodge placed on the lower end of Frances Lake. You fly to it from Watson Lake. Here is the description:

Shaped by moving ice during the last glacial period, Frances Lake is the largest lake in the southeast Yukon. Its twin arms are joined in a V-shape by a labyrinthine stretch of islets and inlets known as the Narrows; and its shores are fringed by creeks, rivers and glassy bays. Beyond the water’s edge, dense boreal forest separates the lake from the distant mountains. The lake’s fascinating topography makes it a haven for wildlife; and for adventurous souls wishing to immerse themselves in the region’s remote beauty. This scenery depicts a lodge along the Frances Lake Shoreline. It is inspired by a real world location but is not in any way a representation of that location.

Thank you Brad for another great addition. You will find it on the Scenery Page under "F".

PUNCHBOWL LAKE RETREAT - By Brad Allen

Another beautiful location on one of the most scenic lakes in RTMM, Punchbowl Lake. The approach is tricky, but easy if you pay attention ... notice the warning in the readme. This is a great addition, thank you Brad.

"Natural Features: Punchbowl Lake Retreat is surrounded by mountains on all sides and the facility offers a great location to see the wild Misty Fjords from a unique and memorable vantage point. A large variety of wildlife lives in the area including Sitka black-tailed deer, bald eagles, waterfowl and river otter. The area is particularly known for its black bear population, so visitors are urged to practice bear safety. In addition to the main retreat area, there is a small private cabin on the northeast tip of the lake's island and a Forestry Service Shelter nestled against the NW cove of the lake."

You will find it under "P" on the Scenery Page.

Cabins by the Lakes II by Brad Allen

This second edition of the Cabins By the Lakes scenery for Return to Misty Moorings centers around the Southern Lakes region of the Yukon Territory and this area is considered the gem of the Yukon. Mountains crested with glaciers meet clear blue lakes, and endless boreal forests sit in between. The network of lakes, rivers, and glacial streams form the headwaters of the mighty Yukon River, and the area’s network of waterways and trails form a backcountry playground for adventurers. Several small communities, rich with history, make this scenic area home.

All locations have flight plans and maps. All 30 locations are on the GoTo Table and in the Start Locations table on Here2There. Each cabins starting position is listed on the scenery page location. Look for it under "C" on the Scenery page.

CSV File for Cabins By the Lakes II .... Thank you Dieter!

Dieter Linde has kept us up to date for Plan G. You can find the data points file at Misty's Place under Dieter's Corner for Cabins by the Lakes.  Also, if you don't have the other data points for Plan G, you can download everything, including this entry in one file from the bottom of the CSV files listed there.

MFC Flight Plan Numbers are now on all RTMM Flight Plans!

Norm Richards has burned some midnight oil on this one for you. All of the 600 some flight plans we have in RTMM_Flight_Plans.zip are now updated so they have flight number extensions after each one. These MFC numbers are what you use with the Cigar Box for the flight plan number.

You should download the latest RTMM_Flight_Plans.zip folder from Here2There/RTMM Flight Plans and get it into your computers "document" area for your sim. The instructions for doing this are in the two readme's that are in the zip folder. Notice there is one that discusses specific use for the Misty Flying Club.

Thank you from all of us to Norm ... an amazing amount of work.

FSX/FSX-SE/P3D DOUGLAS C-47R SKYTRAIN V3.14 BETA Repaint by Klaus Tröppner

Here is a beautiful repaint for you, the classic Douglas C-47, now repainted in Misty Colors for the Misty Flying Club. Klaus "outdid" himself on this one. Beautiful as usual, but his "eye" kept the style of the aircraft intact.  RTMM is proud to put this beautiful repaint into our Hangar. You can find it in "Enhancements/Repaints/Fix Wing".

A very special hat tip to Klaus for an absolutely beautiful piece of work.  Thank you!

PS: If you haven't tried this aircraft, you should. There are (as of now) 2 tours on MFC using it. I was a bit hesitant myself (being a Beaver pilot), but I quickly fell in love with this beautiful airplane.  Spend some hours in this cockpit and you'll fee the history around you.

Skagway for RTMM and SAK (Please Read NOTAM* Below) - by Brad Allen

This scenery attempts to give the city a more turn of the century look and also helps remove any Autogen buildings that sometimes float above the surrounding terrain. Look for more scenery details around the city area and we were careful to make sure that our additions do not infringe on what’s been placed already by the ORBX team.

We added train objects from our libraries to help enhance the railroad areas around the city. Especially where the narrow gauge White Pass train currently picks up passengers at the Cruise Ship dock area. The nighttime lighting around the city is also enhanced and gives the area a new look and feel so be sure to see this area when it’s dark.

*NOTAM: This is an UPDATED scenery location. If you previously had the fix for Skagway Floating
Houses, you must:
1. Delete the original “SAK Skagway for RTMM” (Floating Houses Fix) from your sim's
Scenery Library
2. Delete the folder from your computer
Next, add “Skagway for RTMM and SAK” the same way you add all RTMM locations. Then
Activate it in your scenery library.

Lake Hood AI Float Planes by Dex Thomas Added 05.17.2018

NOTAM: This only works for the Aerosoft Anchorage Payware

Lake Hood Seaplane Base (PALH) started out as two smaller lakes: Lake Hood to the west and Lake Spenard to the east. Back in the 1970s, the state began dredging out a canal in between the two to create seaplane takeoff and taxi lanes. Operating continuously and open to the public, Lake Hood is the world's busiest seaplane base, handling an average of 190 flights per day. Located next to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and three miles from downtown Anchorage, the base has an operating control tower and during the winter months the frozen lake surface is maintained for ski-equipped airplanes.

Look for it on the Enhancements Page/AI Traffic, under "L"
