Misty Moorings Colours and Logos
« on: February 15, 2011, 03:24:45 AM »
Just for want of setting a standard, I have created a series of objects to be used as Misty Moorings "official" (That's up to Brad) logos, typefaces and colours. I may even devise a green palette with complementing colours as and when we agree.

Brad, if you want, I can send you a PSD file of the image below - you might add it to the DL Library?

Whilst experimanting with green rainbows, I have come up with these...

The one in the middle is, of course, Company A for whom I worked many many years. Company A being "Best Of Engineering In North Germany" - but I digress... I just used the Airbus "seven colour pattern" in green to think about an MM additive overlay.

Comments and ideas?

We've been asked, a couple of times now, for a logo. Thanks for working on this Chris .. first attempts looking good, color going in the right direction.

Hmm.. I treat the name a little different in regards to the gradient, etc.   I'll try to put together a PSD of what I use for the global text treatment across the site.

Good looking Logo but if I might offer one idea.  Green is not the best color to use for aircraft that fly mostly over conifer forests.  You need a color that will 'clash' with the natural green environment of the surroundings in case you become the object of an air search.  Green on a green background will probably result in you spending extra time sleeping under the wing!
A green logo would be fine but A/C colors should be something else.

I agree, but there is no chance on a colour change - as is described elsewhere, "Green and White" is the Misty Theme. So when you crash in winter, you'd best have red smoke and loads of red dye with you ;)

No stopping you flying in with other liveries though - The USCG hi-vis is a good one.

If you are short on red dye I guess making 'yellow snow' would be a poor second option but the 'materials' ARE built in.
