I have been waiting for this one as it helps complete the Halibut Cove area experience since PAEN is only about 85 miles from Halibut Cove.

I can't wait.

Thanks for the link Corbu1. While checking that out I noticed a poster saying he had just downloaded the latest patch for SAK. I didn't see a patch for SAK at ORBX. Anybody?
Also, before I DL the latest ORBX libraries, 131215, is there a way to see what patches I already have installed? I didn't see anything that would tell me on my FTX Central. The one I'm concerned with is the PFJ .003. It's over a year old so I'm pretty sure I have it, thanks to the heads-up notices from this forum, but I'd like to be sure I already have it b4 I install the new libraries.

jsapair,
to find out what ORBX you have installed just start FTX Central click on Tool, Reports, then FTX Products Installed.  It brings up a complete list of what you have in FSX from ORBX.
On the latest library what I do is download the .zip file and unzip it.  Whenever I install anything ORBX new I just navigate to the library folder and run it after installing scenery, patches etc.  When a new library is released I just replace the old with the new.  That way I can easily re-install the library any time without re-downloading the .zip file.

Thanks Spud. I learned a couple of new tricks today...not bad for an old dog. First, FTX Central WILL show you your installed patches...I just didn't have any installed. Doesn't show libraries though so I'll check out your tip. I missed the Tools, Reports thing. I have two folders on my desktop...FSX Zips and FSX Installed. After I extract the Zip I religiously (or almost) put the zip and the extracted into the appropriate folders which is what tipped me off to the fact that I didn't have the PFJ .001 patch. Thanks pal...tailwinds to 'ya.

I´m glad you found the link.
the patch prepares SAK for the upcoming PAEN Airport, but it also deals with some issues included in the original SAK.
After downloading and unzipping the patch, you can see a file where all the changes are listed.

Anyone notice in the video how the vehicle traffic around the airport looks like they're all at the Indy 500 racing around at 200 MPH? There's a utility to slow down traffic to make it look more sane that I can post a link to if anybody is interested. (It requires that the FSX SDK is installed in order to make use of it because it has to decomplie a file.) At first glance the process looks a little intimidating and involved, but taken a step at a time is only about a 15 minute job. For the timid, I could post the file that I altered (I've slowed my traffic down by 50%) if I can figure out how to post a 572kb file here.

Why not just use the utility ORBX issued about 4 years ago to slow down traffic.  It is only 121 KB for the zip file.
File name:

ORBX_SLOWER_V3.zip

unzipped size 136,975 KB

Available on the ORBX site.

Thanks Spud. In reading the thread at Orbx, it looks like a lot of people had trouble with their patch for some unknown reason. I tried it, installed fine, but it only slows freeways down to 55 MPH, which is only 5 MPH slower than default, and the buggers still go too unrealistically fast for my taste. It's an easy fix to adjust things slower using the Orbx file however. If anybody wants to know how, let me know here.
