Welcome Alan, to the forum of Return to Misty Moorings.  Thanks for finally registering and saying "hi".  You've been busy.  Some "low n slow" bush flying will help you unwind.  You'll find comradery at Misty's Place, especially after you buy the first round.  We're crazy about virtual beer around here!  ;D

Let us know if you hit any snags along the way, but I think you'll be ok.  Happy flying, Sir!   8)

Warm welcome to you Alan (MFC Pilot MFC0083). Nice to have you here with us flying some "bush" in great scenery.   (You have have some nice views of your own there as you are in close proximity to the rugged Colorado landscapes to the west!).

Quite the career there -40 years as an electrical engineer doing very interesting stuff. Hope that you really can enjoy more of this hobby here with us: Lots of comradery and banter 'round here in this RTMM neighborhood. For sure you fit right in here and already nice to see that you have flown many flights at MFC with and no problems that I can see: sure can tell have that you have been simming for a while.

If for any reason you do require any help or have any questions just give us a holler. Welcome again and see you in the RTMM-MFC skies!

Welcome aboard, Allen. Well you will find there is plenty to do here to keep you busy. When you get settled in, try one of the medical dispatches. I’ve just re-done the documentation for it. You fly out to a casualty location, (using just a waypoint and your gps), home page right hand column/index, you land nearby bush style, then fly back to one of 35 medical facilities we’ve created...and when you arrive, medical personnel and equipment are waiting for you! Have fun, and we are all here to get you past any rough spots.

Welcome aboard. That's pretty cool stuff. I love being able to find out where the ISS is going to appear at near my location, then seeing it show up on time, light up and pass across the sky. That's solar reflective radiance big time!!!

Hello, ladies and gentlemen! I guess I should say a couple of words. My real name is Ilya and I've been flightsimming since 1990 and dreaming of becoming a pilot for my entire life. My first sim was Spitfire 40 for ZX Spectrum and then Tomahawk. Then they were all combat sims, but in 1995 I got myself a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 5.0 for MS-DOS and it changed my life completely.

I managed to finally fulfil my dream and I possess a PPL, but not long ago I had to stop flying due to some financial and health problems, so flightsimming is again my consolation. My full time job is a quality assurance engineer for a company producing commercial flight simulators. Mainly it's 737 and 320, so there is still some flying, but my dream has always been to fly some old piston banger in the middle of some beautiful nowhere, so here I am, looking for my home at RTMM :)

Welcome Walter (alias Ilya). Long time combat simmer. Don't shoot us down as we only have bush planes here that have engines that indeed bang!! lol.  Have fun and if you need any help or assistance just let us know.

(RTMM is in a scenery refreshment or revamp so watch the summary posts for new scenery versions.)

Welcome again Ilya.

Well, that's not gonna be soon :))) I get it that MFC is a multiplayer community here at RTMM. So I'll have to make myself comfortable with all the software needed etc. I've never flown any multiplayer flights in P3D before.

Not to worry, Ilya.  We're not really all that "multiplayer" as you might think.  We have trouble getting together because of time zone differences.  Also, most of us are solo type of pilots, or at least I am.  The Misty's Flying Club is not multiplayer either.  You fly and record your legs, and others are doing that also.  But you never see another person in the sim.  (I don't).
The beers at Misty's Place are virtual, and imaginary.  (and free)   Enjoy RTMM the way you want to, and interact with the community however you are comfortable.  There's no pressure.  Cheers!   :)
