... and if you like tucked away cabins, check the USFS Cabins page. We even put in the "missing cabins" listed by the forest service, but not in ORBX or Tongass. There are pics of the real ones and flight plans to all of them. 320 cabins total.

Sam, click on your avatar from a post which will take you to your profile page. Click 'Modify Profile'. There you will see a section where you can browse to whatever pic you want to use. Maybe find one from 20 years ago like most of us do. Ha.

just as a teaser I have attached a Plan-G map of the area around Ketchikan with a few of the RTMM location depicted as small green dots.  There are many more in the entire region that RTMM develops for including Tongass X.  So whenever you feel like going ahead you will find more than enough to keep you in the air.

Spud - A few?! By the time I've downloaded everything here at RTMM (long term plan) I doubt I'd ever land...in-flight GA refuelling could come in real handy.

Hi, I'm new!    Ronald to the authorities, Ronnie to my Mum (and only my Mum!) Ron to everyone else. I've been FSXing for about 6 years now. I have of course been aware of RTMM but never got round to doing anything about it. Until online flying buddies of the AVSIM RTW race team decided to arrange a Tongass fjords tour.
I have to say that installing everything necessary was a baptism of fire!  But I made it and I'm delighted with the results.

Welcome Aboard RTMM.  Yeah, the initial required libraries, software etc. are a bit of a chore but once downloaded and installed, as you said, the rewards far outweigh the effort.  "Down low and slow is the way to go, up high and fast doth blow!"
Jeff has already mentioned that obligatory 'wetting down' party at Misty's Joint for the gang so we'll meet you there.  (Bring you wallet! )

Naw! not immune to the beer, just "experienced" user.  Thanks to U.S. Taxpayers and U.S. Navy "experienced" beer around the world.  Cold, Hot, Flat, watery, strong, weak with and without 'accompanyment'.
