Question
« on: May 07, 2019, 02:56:06 PM »
Hi all, is anyone using or know anything about "FreeMeshX Global Terrain Mesh Scenery 2.0" from Nine Two Productions?  If so does it conflict with Orbx Base, Vector etc?

OrbX is designed on the Pilot's FSGX2010 mesh.  Having said that, I will say that a lot of people on the OrbX forums use the FreeMesh and report no problems with it.

It works fine John. Just one issue that I know of. When flying the BWEP - One you get north on the Richardson Hwy segment, turn off the Freemesh X for the USA area as it throws the pipes alignment off a bit but then most mesh does the same.  In other words, the pipes are not perfectly aligned when mesh is active. But other than that, it works great, and for all over the world if you download all of the pieces. and it's free!!

GTX1080 Nice John. And power supply- of course! - Your GTX1080 (alike my 970) takes an eight pin connector (or equivalent- 6+2pin) hence the need for a new power supply- more connectors/power cables required.

Yep, like you, I had to update my power supply unit when I did my first GPU update to that GTX970 a couple of years ago: (My older power supply only had one 6 pin GPU connector and didn't have the required 8 pin power connector (not even a 6+2 pin) to hook up the 970- so replace the power supply - but that was well worth it.

More power, Arg, yup upgrades need more power!

Great John, should be a big improvement when your all hooked up.

Norm
