PDF problems
« on: October 13, 2013, 11:28:30 PM »
Hi all
After flying the 737 and T777 Im finding the need for low n slow type tranquility. A while back I did a complete re install of fsx and buried MM's folder within another folder and though I lost all that hard work but I found it and installed back to the library yesterday.

The problem is I cant open any MM's Pdf files. Message says the files are corrupt possibly not being coded correctly blah blah

I just want to know if Im the only one getting this before I start a deeper investigation.

I just opened up the Bear River Lodge pdf without any problem.  Maybe just download Adobe Reader (free version) again and reinstall would fix it up.

Hi Zoran,
for testing I just downloaded halibut cove scenery and opened the included pdf-file.
I had no Problems. I opened the file with Acrobat Reader without any issues.....

Did you try moving/copying the PDF to another folder and see if it will open?

Glacier Bay tour documents are not .pdf files. Just raw text. Maybe that's why. Trying opening them up without using acrobat or whatever your trying to open them with.

Not sure if this is the answer but I didn't make any .pdf files for my glacier bay tour files.

You don't need to do that either. These are not "Word" documents. Just text files. I'm pretty sure you can just open them on your PC by clicking on them then opening them with notepad.

That is an "PLN" file.  You shouldn't open that one.  Only open files of type "TXT".

Yes, Jeff is correct. You should only try to read the .txt files. Not .pln
