Misty Moorings Checker Cub

Well,I have had an e-mail exchange with Flight Replicas and there aren't going to be any changes or corrections to the Super Cub (for now) so I am done as far as the paint goes. Anyone else going to repaint this particular cub, take care - several parts of the plane are mapped to different sizes and/or are mapped oddly enough to cause heartburn (I have reported around a dozen such).

So if and when anyone paints the cub with any particular pattern that runs across texture areas - feel free to ask - I have the answers now.

As for the TaxiCub. She's done (as far as I am going, anyway). Where do you want her Brad?

Any minute now...

Any MM paints I do will be "private" - i.e. I am not hosting them openly on my site - They'll be there, but not on display.

So anyone who wants this Cub - you need the Flight Replicas Super Cub payware. This paint is for the "Experimental" version, so you need to download and unzip it to your folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Super_Cub_Experimental

There is a generic readme file on my website here <- click

Installation of repaints is fairly straightforward and the generic readme above generally works for all standard type paints.

@ Brad feel free to copy the links into the appropriate place. Library?

Aerosoft, FSAddon or Flight Replicas. Then there's the A2A standard Cub and Flight Replica's L4 and the default J3. Classic British do a nice Taylorcraft as well as an Auster AOP. I think there are a couple of others around, so there's a lot to shake a stick at!

been meaning to ask about this but keeps slipping my mind.  Back when I was using FS9 I ordered a Super Cub that was done by Simon Smeiman.  I recall that it came from FSAdon but it seems that Flight One was who I actually purchased it from and FSAddon.com FDN Piper Super Cub is what the electronic purchase email called it.  My question is, does this have anything to do with the later FSX Super Cub you offer?  It works like a charm in FSX and I was wondering IF Eagleskinner does a repaint for the FSAddon Cub if it will work with the Top Cub or not.
Thanks for any info you might be able to provide.

That is ours, Spud, I just use the Flight1 wrapper for payment for some products. I still need to add it to our new shop... am working on transferring all products there.
Simon made an FS9 Cub to begin with (the Top Cub), then added FSX compatibility.

AFTER that he designed a totally NEW Cub specifically made for FSX. We call it the Super Cub X Collection (you get lots of versions with it!). You'll find it in the the shop here: http://silvercloud-store.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=29778

I think Chris has the new FSX Cub already?

My Bad,

I have the "Top Cub" pack - that's the free demonstrator for the full pack. Although I guess that pack has the same basic model so mapping should be OK.

The trouble is that with well over fifty or so J3, L4 and other variations of that venerable "old dear" in my hangar already, it's hard to see what I have got.

After I had a hard drive crash I had one heck of a time trying to figure out where I got the Top Cub so I could re-download it when I had to do a reformat.  It was very inexpensive but it was quite well done and I use it for those 'tight spots' and low n' slow sight seeing.
Just for giggles if Eagleskinner's shop does a paint job I'll see what it does to the old gal.  Does that make me a beta tester?
