I just threw Maloney's Tavern into my scenery library, loaded it up, and snapped a picture of the first impressions.   8)

It looks good to me, so far.  Did you put the "AF2_MALO.bgl" file into your addon scenery/scenery folder?   ???

Strolling around the place reveals some minor issues.   :o  After all, it's made for FS9, right?  :P  The trees don't show objects through their transparency.  There is alot of water at one end of the runway.  I don't mind getting wet, so that's ok.

Why delete all?  The af2 file belongs in the addon scenery/scenery folder.  The Maloney's Tavern folder goes in your addon scenery folder or your Return to Misty Moorings folder. (or RTMM folder if you abbreviated it).  Add the Maloney's Tavern to your scenery library.  It only looks funny because it wasn't made for Orbx or FSX.  The contours of the land and shorelines are different than FS9.

Jeff if I try to start there it says I will collide with another object. if I fly there I have trees on the runway. I am using all the d/l for rtmm is that enought or have I missed something here. ie. do I need to have another area ?

Lipra,
remember that this scenery is made for FS9.  While it may work in FSX most likely there will be anomalies of some kind. Probably most noticeable with MESH and/or shorelines.  FS9 elevations and shorelines are not the same as in FSX plus with RTMM scenery installed you have to have ORBX PFJ scenery area as well which will alter FSX defahttp://forum.mistymoorings.com/Smileys/default/cool.gifult shorelines and elevations from default FSX as well so with three different possible scenarios if it works at all is mostly a matter of luck actually.
As for colliding with another object this is due to the fact you do not have crashes turned off in FSX.  It is your choice but I will advise you quite strongly to disable crashes because that function of FSX is not very effective due to the invisible crash boxes around scenery objects being oversize much of the time and even grass in some ORBX scenery will cause the airplane to crash when crash detection is enabled.  Best advice is to disable it.  You know if you crashed or not, a matter of personal honesty there.  To have a restart is at least annoying and unecessary IMHO.
Because Maloney's Tavern is FS9 RTMM can not offer official support for the scenery, Jeff may have some personal information that could aid you.
Later,

Spud

All I was saying was that I installed it into my FSX (according to the readme instructions provided) and the results were that the scenery doesn't match the terrain of FTX, but while it is goofy and mismatched, I can still land at it.  I don't plan on "modifying" it in any way.  It's not my scenery to mess with.

Hello,

If anyone here is indeed able to modify Maloney's Tavern to make it work in FSX and Orbx scenery, please go ahead. Permission granted.

Cheers,

Hi Lonewolfee1,
Yes, it has.  Thanks for the update.  I forgot to come back here and give "closure".  It is looking good in FSX/P3D now.  ... and welcome to the forum.  ;)
