Sunrise Supply Run
« on: August 19, 2012, 01:14:35 PM »
Although I skipped my daily after-7-o'clock sleep (will cost me years of my life), I started this mission too early. After all, people need their stuff in time. Once in the air and flying I woke up, finally. And a nice lady beside me, telling me all kind of things. All went well until...

...we entered the two approach waypoints before Hunter Bay Cannery. Starting there she didn't say a word and was completely silent. And that for a women! I'm sure a behaved like a gentleman. Honestly! What in the name of Jove did I do wrong?
I landed and parked my Beaver at the pier there, waited a while, tried some friendly words to her , but alas. She stayed silent, neglecting me.  ;)

And now seriously. I flew exactly over the waypoints. But this lovely mission stopped there. Guess I will have to do it once more.  ???

Hi Slowhand,
Some of the waypoints' trigger boxes are shorter than others.  Most are at 5000 ft, two are 6000 ft, and a few are only 500 feet.  One is only 100 feet tall.  They are named:
    Waypoint               Wpt. Height
01.  Pennock                  3000 ft tall
02.  S. Gravina               5000 ft tall
03.  Bron Island             5000 ft tall
04.  Clarence                 5000 ft tall
05.  Coastline                5000 ft tall
06.  Lands End               5000 ft tall
07.  Channel                     500 ft tall
08.  Fleet Bay                   500 ft tall
09.  Parts Dock                 100 ft tall
10.  SW Turn                  5000 ft tall
11.  Hessa Inlet             5000 ft tall
12.  Hunter Bay              5000 ft tall
13.  Landing Area            500 ft tall
14.  Klakas Inlet             5000 ft tall
15.  North Klakas           6000 ft tall
16.  N. Gravina               6000 ft tall
17.  Turn to PAKT           5000 ft tall
18.  Land at PAKT

At the parts dock (100 ft), you should be taxiing anyway.  I hope this helps.

Hello,

I did this mission yesterday, but I've had no message when I arrived at PAKT, either for success or non-success.
I do not know if it's because I missed something along the way or due the place of PAKT because I have PAKT of Orbx with the SP1.
At the start of the mission, the aircraft is embedded in buildings and I am obliged to transpose it  elsewhere using the fonction "Transposition".
Perhaps it is also a problem for the arrival ?

Not going to work with PAKT SP1. The mission was designed for use with PAKT default PFJ. So if you have the payware airport installed and are trying to use this mission at that airport, it's not going to work for you.

Flew the mission today for the 2nd time. Now I had no talking when taxiing and parking at Fleet Bay and further up the flight. I'm pretty sure I made it all by the book.
Well, its a lovely flight anyway, also without the talking.  8)

Hi Slowhand,
The only triggers in that mission are "Reach a specified area", which is marked with a green arrow.  You simply approach the arrows, getting close enough to each one to make it disappear.  The text of the mission has timers.  You may have to sit and wait sometimes, for instance, while being unloaded at the parts dock.  Just sit tight, and wait for further instructions from the narrator/copilot.

The mission goes like this upon arrival at Fleet Bay . . .
Upon arriving at Fleet Bay parts dock, five seconds later it should say "You can park at the refueling pier.... Shut her down but don't get out, the supplies will be unloaded by the crew for you."  Thirty seconds later it says "This shouldn't take too long.... I'll let you know when they're done and then we'll start up and head for Hunter Bay.... After you park, I'll get out and then be back in just a few minutes."  Then the "parts dock" arrow pops up, and you go park there, where it points.  Sit there, at the parts dock, for 120 seconds.  Then the voice will speak again, saying "That didn't take long.... She's all ready to go... We're clear to begin our taxi out of the channel now." . . . and so on.
