Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / flight plans not loading into FSX
« on: August 12, 2018, 07:40:31 PM »
OK what am I doing wrong, I load the flight plans so the cigar box can see them, no problems, but in trying to load them into the FSX flight plan folder, when I try access them they wont pull up, so I've been just flying SOP, more or less from departure to destination. Is there something in a config file that needs to be changed to accept them?? OK I notice others are having the same problem I'm having, I also am using FSX Acceleration with Win 7

I have tried to fly this leg three times now and each and every time I land at Loring 13z shut every thing down go go to cigar box and click on stop flight it says aircraft not at arrival I'm 6.07 miles from destination I hit cancel it says aircraft position error. But yet I look at the gps map and it shows I'm right at 13z This is getting quite frustrating

Misty's Place / nothing like this in the virtual world happens
« on: July 20, 2018, 12:57:44 PM »
Beautiful day in ID, so I called up a pilot friend and said I'll fil up your 180 and let's make some noise. He says no can do, but the planes there so go take it and then fill it up  and make some noise. So I thanked him and took him up on his offer. So I  out flew up to Lucky Peak Reservoir on the Boise river up to Stanley had lunch, flew back, pulled up to the pump, went to get out of the plane, left foot slipped off the step, right foot hits to tarmac, rolls and sprains my ankle, now I'm also embarrassed The kid who drives the JET A truck helps taxing the plane back to the hanger and puts it away. I go to urgent care diagnosis severe sprain n' hairline fracture of some itty bitty bone I've never heard of, So now here I sit foot elevated, lots of ice for 2 or 3 days and then a week or 2 with a walking cast. Virtual flying is definitely safer, I've never fallen out of the chair, even after having some scotch

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / redo's??
« on: July 04, 2018, 11:14:31 AM »
Forgive my laziness, for not going thru all the post, here's my question, I thought I greased a landing on the sea ops tour but the KCARS says I totaled the aircraft, can I redo that leg and override the previous report

Just saw that Milviz released the DHC3 Otter, it would be a welcome addition to RTMM, IMHO

Misty's Place / pilot's squawk list
« on: November 01, 2016, 11:09:32 AM »
One of the duties of a commercial pilot is to report any problems with the aircraft that need to be addressed. This came to me from a retired Delta captain, he received it from an AA captain, I found it humorous none the less

General Discussion / another observation
« on: October 19, 2016, 02:19:05 PM »
Over at Flightsim there was a posting about FSX being 10 years old and thinking back the thing about going from FS9 was the shimmering, reflective water and the clouds formations. The aircraft had not changed all that much, which leads to my second point, flying the  default 350 King Air and trying to click on different switches to no avail, then jumping into the Carenado  350, well no comparison. So my point is how many other programs are 10 years old and are still being used by a lot of simmers and all thanks to the designers like here at RTMM, Carenado, A2A, Aerosoft and the list goes on, keeping this old sim still going, for w/o the 3rd party developers this program would be sitting on the shelf collecting dust along with the other. At least that's how I see it

Help and Troubleshooting / RTMM scenery switcher 3.3 not changing seasons
« on: October 07, 2016, 04:37:35 PM »
just notice the season switcher is not conversing with the different scenery folders hadn't notice it until the PF56 scenery. The path for the season switcher is: C:FSX/Addon Scenery/RTMM season switcher 3.3 and the path for the scenery folders are C:FSX/Addon Scenery/A Misty Moorings/<RTMM Scenery Folder>/scenery. So I'm not sure if it's path problem or what, I have the shortcut for the switcher exe. on the desktop and when I click on it opens the prompt window, I chose number 4, press  enter and then press enter again as instructed to finish, it says fall has been selected and when I look at the curseasonset.txt it has fall listed, but when I fire up FSX it loads but nothing is changed, the season at PF56 is still winter mode and the other sceneries with the diff seasons are at offseason mode. Oh I did double check the current season selection in FSX and it is 10/07/2016  Fall. I know I'm missing something, but I'll be damn if I can see what I did wrong. Looking for vectors to correct it

Help and Troubleshooting / Gotta' chainsaw
« on: April 15, 2016, 01:02:01 PM »
yesterday I was flying some of the flight plans and went to one that depart CAF2 Bella Bella Campbell Island and here were all these bushes and trees down the runway and in the tarmack. Remembering what my flight instructor told me when you do something while flying the airplane and things go sideways, fly the airplane and undo what you just did to see if that corrects the problem. So in looking to see what the last scenery I loaded was, it was one from Orbx called Orbx!OpenLC_NAMERICA2, I unchecked it in the Scenery Library in FSX and low and behold the foliage is gone. Don't know why, but am curious if anyone else ran into this problem at any other airport or if anyone else is using this scenery file

Help and Troubleshooting / problems at PAPG
« on: December 13, 2015, 08:24:35 PM »
landed at PAPG and taxied up to Brads  and low and behold I'm missing something, has anyone else have missing textures for the vehicles. For good measure I reloaded all three parts of the RTMM object libraries, but that didn't seem to help and the object tester said I had all the proper libraries, So I don't know if it's even a RTMM problem, or maybe a corrupted ORBX thing. Anyway any ideas???

For those who have been around simming  for a while over at Sim Outhouse they have a Emma Field scenery for FSX done by Falcon 409. I downloaded it and works with Orbx PNW so just a heads up if anyone's interested,  Blue Skies

General Discussion / new from A2A
« on: June 28, 2015, 10:24:30 AM »
Not sure if there would be any interest, but A2A has released the Comanche 250, though a bit on the pricey side it is typical of their quality. Flew more than a few hours in one, N7727P had, had more than one trip Canada on various fishing trips Naniamo,  Campbell River and down to Mexico every year for Thanksgiving. The A2A folks have done her justice right down to the plane to ''float'' in ground effect and then when it's ready to land it could embarrass you with a resounding thunk. Granted maybe doesn't fit in here as a ''bush plane'' but I had to get it, just like the closet of Comanche logo shirts hanging in the closet
