Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Re: The Dockside at Herring Bay

Thanks Spud for the clarification. The situation seems to be in a bit of a mess so I won't count on PAKT being resolved for P3DV2.x any time soon. Shame about the none co-operation with RTTM over Herring Bay as the products from both sides usually mesh together so well :-\

I am sure that you are right Rod, I only hope the the delay does't turn into a stop for the PAKT triple installer.

OK, I appreciate your position :) problem is for me I cannot see a triple installer for PAKT any time soon. I believe that the developer has left  Orbx and given them the source code so they will have to find someone else to take it on :( Do miss it though with all the slopes etc., quite a master piece.

It is in testing phase now, and if approved may be offered to others here with the payware PAKT airport active.  (that's just me talking)  Wish me luck.

Fantastic news Jeff but how did you get the ORBX PAKT to install in P3DV2.2 as I had heard somewhere that it could not be installed with the Estonia Migration tool?

The Library objects installation went very smoothly but I messed up on the installation on Misty's Place but thanks for the forum support all is now well with my initial RTTM set-up. Thank you to everyone concerned as you have done a superb job.

I now need to sort out my P3D graphic problem or reinstall everything to getthe best benifit from RTTM. I will open a new thread to see if anyone can help.

Thanks Jefffor your reply,

Yes it was a typo in my email, so far have not found out how to copy the text from these error messages. I have therefore attached it as a graphic.

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Scenery.cfg file error
« on: June 09, 2014, 05:16:34 PM »
Hi

I am running P3D V2.2 and have installed  the new object libraries, thank you very much, and run the Scenery object tester which has confirmed that I have the required objects installed. After installing Misty's place I get the message,

Scenery.cfg file error. Local scenery directory(D:|Prepar3dv2\Addon Scenery\Misy Moorings|scenery) in scenery area 183 not found.

I have
FTX NA PFJ Pacific Fjords V1.1 Patch 004 April 2014
Tongass Fjords etc. installed and I believe that I have used the correct installation procedures. Could anyone please help?

Thanks  John

Yes that is really excellent news, well done to all concerned. When will the files be available for P3DV2.2 users?

General Discussion / Re: Which Display size ?

"...And it is 50/1.  I don't think IMAX is that wide."

Lol, 3x 42 inch monitors is difficult to imagine when sitting so close. I guess I will have to have 3 screens someday but maybe 27 inch like Klaus but ultra high def with G- sync, even that will be seriously expensive :)

That's some serious display setup Jeff, it will nearly be as good a seat at an IMAX cinema ;)

But seriously I have been using a single 24 inch 1980 x 1200 for some years  with another 19 inch 1200 x 1200 monitor for maps etc. but now with P3D V2.1 I can stretch the display over the 2 monitors even though they are different sizes and slightly different resolutions. Although the overall picture is not perfect is gives a great feel for what  your setup will be like. The jump in display size gives a far better immersion feeling.
