Have the "Pre-requisites for Tour sign-ups have been removed ?
If so... maybe I can get credit now for "Hub Excursion", "Barnstormers" AND "Short Fields Glacier" tours since I wasn't able to sign-up before and did complete all the flights for each tour in order.

Thanks for updating completion of my first flight (MFC001) from my PIREP. I'd forgotten to log completion of each leg and just flew all of them so I guess my record was updated manually from my final report?
Anyway, it was an enjoyable experience to complete one of RTMMs busiest areas, lots to see on the way.
So, onward and upward!

PS.
One more great tour, but, leg 11 Purkeypile (01A) to Nugget Bench (33AK) on altitude 21500ft??
My Beaver...He did his best and I had a bottle with oxygen :)
lol.. Nice job Igor and glad you had some O2 with you for leg 121. Take a look at the sky vector for this leg and zoom/scroll in on the map: the highest peak is indicated by "MOUTN" intersection on that skyvector map Evelation is 20,320 ft. (This point is wpt10 on the FP).
So the 21500 altitude on the FP is to be able to crest the peak or summit of that mountain which is Mount Denali, (previously named Mount McKinley), which is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 20,320 feet (6,190 m) above sea level.
Quite the view from up there if the weather is clear enough! lol.
Nice job Igor.

Just finished MFC0002, Misty Hub Excursion. This was great, down out of the clouds and next to the ground! The weather was bad so the ceiling was do below 2000 ft most of the time. I got to know and appreciate the Milviz Beaver Amphibian. I finally got the hang of trimming it. It was fun flying down in the canyons and seeing the beautifully done scenery. I look forward to many more tour completions.

Good thing that was the quick fly by trip Jim. Weather sure can be a killer up here with gale force winds, blowing snow and icy temps!. Carb Heat, De-Icer! Pitot Heat, Cabin heat on full and hot toddy or stronger is required!.
Nice dangerous flying conditions but you got the MFC0009 CIRP Circuit pass done and the award has been added to your pilot's profile.

Indeed Jerry, I see your Barnstormers completion..the award has been added to your pilot's profile.
Barnstormers is a pretty area as well is a jammed packed scenery area-like I listed 24 scenery pieces for that trip, now thanks to your find there is 25 scenery pieces listed. With over hundreds of scenery pieces to figure out I'm sure I might miss one the odd time especially for a complex and scenery packed excursion. Again thanks for noticing and letting me know. I have updated the scenery requirements document to show Spud's Creek and re-upped the MFC0005 Barnstormers tour download so this additional scenery piece is captured for following pilots. Done.
Norm
PS: Yup tour MFC0006, MFC0007 are quite a challenge if the DC-3, C-47, BT67 is used. And for sure the Curtiss C46 Commando is a great plane and fits into that category. There isn't a RTMM livery for a C46 but the aircraft sure works!
Ok, just added the C46 to the MFC Fleet and as an available aircraft on the next two tours. (C46 now appears in Cigar Box as N046MM-C46- C46A, so feel free to give it a spin! Not an easy aircraft especially on these "Short Fields" but a fun try. Done. C46/C46A all set up and ready to go!
I have completed MFC0007 Short Fields-BC.

Been in conversations with ORBX but they are saying everything looks correct from their end. Can't tell you how many times I've run the VECTOR configurator Anyway it's done

Hi everyone,
This is where we realize the importance of aviation in Alaska. Especially in this region where the lack of road is obvious.
I believe that the inhabitants of the small villages were very happy to see me bring them their supplies. In all cases, tour 21 is done
Thx a lot again and let's go to the Aleoutians ;)

Aye Vincent, you have completed Tour 21 from the end of the Yukon at Sheldon Point down the coast to King Salmon and you have received the award decoration. Nice work. As you continue in this voyage, you will be heading to Kodiak first, then following that segment you'll have to load up some supplies before heading out from Kodiak to explore the Aleutian Islands.

The only problem I'm having with the Box is the timed out deal, when I go to the Tour Page for the next leg it shows it's recorded and I click for the details on the next leg, but when I go back to the Box click to get the next leg it gives me the leg I just flew. The only thing I've found to work is completely close the Box and then reopen and then it will find the next leg to fly. Other than that it's easy peasy, the ''New Normal'' LOL

The last time I donated to Return to Misty Moorings, Doug Linn told me that none of the donation is used to support the MFC. I was not aware that was the case. I would like to support MFC as well as RTMM. Is there a way my donations can be used to support MFC?
Thanks, Bill

Whew, glad to get this one behind me. Real wx made things interesting over the Aleutians with rain, snow, icing, crosswind landings, and lots of clouds. Sorry for the messy pireps on legs 17 & 18 - looks like it got sorted out.
Hi Norm,

MFC0045 was completed on 10/10/2020 by MFC0019. a couple of things about my choice of the B58 Baron, for most of the tour it was fine, now here comes the butt, at CA21 both landing and departing was sheer madness. I'm not even going to admit how many Barons I destroyed trying get in n' out of that strip In real life there is no way I would have attempted to take a Baron into that strip. That strip is strictly for Super Cubs and PC6's. The other thing that comes to mind was the view of Mt Shasta out of the windscreen, that was a WOW factor

MFC0046 is completed by MFC0019 on 10/19/2020. Really enjoyed this tour, took me to my old haunts in northern CA n' OR where I learned to fly in the real world and finished in Boise Idaho were I now reside. Couldn't resist flying down in the bowl at Crater Lake in southern OR. My folks used to have a home at Sun River and after they passed their ashes are spread out over East Lake n' Paulina Lake just to the East of Sun River, lots of memories on this tour

Hello
Tour 35 is finish!
Tour 35 is not without dificulties due to the degraded weather conditions, but I think that in your regions this is often the case.
visibility was often very limited and at the end it was even snowing.
Otherwise this tour is like the ones already done, is really pleasant to do

Hi Norm,
Rockies 7 completed 8)
ROFL, I was going to report my completion of MFC0047 today but see it's already been logged. Enjoyed criss crossing the Rockies if I had it to over I think I would have chosen a different aircraft, the 337 by Carenado has normal aspirated engines. Could have used a turbo normalized engines by Tornado Alley in OK. Also lack of a hot prop and and deicing equip forced me to turn of the Real Wx a couple of time
William Butler Pilot #MFC 0105 completed Tour MFC0029 Valdez-Merrill Air Services on 11/15/2020.
I truly enjoyed this tour. It was a wonderful way to see Alaska and a testimony to FSX, Orbx scenery and your efforts. I have had to cut back flying the last two months as Dee had her second hip replacement operation and I was her nurse. She is improving and I look forward to being more active in MFC.
Bill

Today, December 9, 2020 Pilot Buddy Nix MFC0071 completed MFC0020 Travelling the Yukon. This route was important to me because in 1959 the year Alaska became our 49th State I was in this area. 1959 was the summer of my college sophomore year. I drove to Seattle and flew to Fairbanks. The best work I could find was a forest fire fighter for the Department of the Interior. We got to fight fires all in the Yukon River area. Once they flew us to a gravel airport at Flat, AK and another time we visited Ruby. Not much in either of those places. It was quite a summer and I enjoyed memories of it during this tour.

Finished MFC 0051, nice trip. Landing at Rays Cabin was tricky. Little NavMap had a problem with Moh creek. There was no ICAO record for Moh Creek in it. I did a little ADE file, but I could not even load the departing leg! I loaded the whole route and deleted the other waypoints and changed the starting waypoint to the new ICAO.
Did no other had this problem?

MFC0051 completed by MFC0019 on 3/14/2021 what a tour, took 4 tries at Mohr Crk to have a successful landing rate, then the today went to complete the last legs, using real wx and froze up the pitot on two legs and with no air speed indicator, was guesstimate finally on the last leg I turned off the real wx. If I was flying in this country for real the first think I'd have on the aircraft is a heated pitot

Norm,
William Butler, MFC Pilot #0105, completed Tour MFC0033 Sitka-Haida Gwaii-Port Hardy POI Excursion on 3/22/2021. In my mind you out did yourself on this Tour. It had it all-beautiful routes and locations, wonderful RTMM scenery, and challenging/enjoyable landing areas. Wondered if Dougs Outfitters is an actual location?
Continue to fly MSFS as my P3Dv5 needs attention and flying is a higher priority. Changes are coming for Dee and I as we move from our home in the Sandia Mtns. into a senior living community in ABQ. While I don't like the move I am enjoying planning my new simulator setup. I am considering replacing my 3 screen setup with single ultrawide curved monitor.

William Butler MFC Pilot 0105 completed Tour MFC0036 Approaching Olympic National Park on 6/26/2021.
Very enjoyable tour. Had an interesting experience on the way to KCLM. Paused the aircraft after departing W28. When I returned after 2 hours I had to restart FSX. Plan G showed the aircraft in the air over Vancouver and Cigars was still recording. I opened the world map and selected an airfield below me. At the same time I decided to reenter the flight plan in Plan G. Plan G picked up the flight plan. I decided to enter KNOW in the 'Go to Airport". The aircraft was placed on runway at KNOW and I took off and resumed the flight.
Cigars showed the aircraft landing 1.66 miles from KFHR. I don't remember landing. Must have done so when I selected the airfield in the World Map. I thought when FSX locked up you would not be able reenter your flight plan on restart. Learn something new every day.

Norm,
Thanks for the award recognition. Its all good! I signed up with the Beaver on Tour 38 but now that I have your OK I may fly the T-28 on a leg or two. When I was in Alaska the State Forestry Department brought a couple of T-28s up to fly lead plane on forest fires. It was great as lead plane but had some trouble on the village airports. All which had gravel runways (1800ft) at that time. It wasn't the short runways as T-28 had plenty of power, it was the small tires that created problems.

William Butler MFC Pilot 0105 completed Tour MFC0040 San Diego Intl CA to Grants-Milan Mun NM on 8/27/21 with the following exceptions. Leg 13 could not be completed because of the fatal c0000005 error. Leg 14 was completed from Sierra Blanca (KSRR) to Socorro because the leg could not be initiated at Roswell (KROW) without incurring the error. Flew Legs 15 and 16 twice: once as individual flight plan and once within the MFC0040 Tour to keep the records straight. Unfortunately it looks like every thing east of the west coast and Eastern Canada also incur this error.
Other than the error I really enjoyed this tour as I've lived in ABQ for 17 years and flown some in the State.

Thanks Norm,
My Career is not ended with MFC for which I am glad but it might be over everywhere else. Trouble shooting with a line drawn from Regina Saskatchewan to Denver to Roswell all flight initiated from airports to west of the line do not incur the error all flights initiated from the airports east of the line do. I have submitted queries to AVSIM and Orbx Forums in the hope of finding a solution.
Bill
Always check my download for the tour and refer to the 2. Add-on Scenery (Required) folder.
I link or include add-on airports that are contained in the legs. So just load these in and you'll have those locations in the sim for that trip.

William Butler, Pilot MFC 0105, completed MFC0043 Rockies 3-Grand Canyon-Sedona AZ to McCarran Intl NV on 10/29/2021. A Tour that I enjoyed very much. It took me to areas where I lived and worked earlier in life. After college at Arizona State I lived in Boulder City, NV for 4 years working in AZ and NV. William Butler, MFC Pilot #0105, completed Tour MFC0044 Rockies 4-McCarran Intl NV to Lake Tahoe CA (KLAS-KTVL) on 11/28/2021. I have enjoyed the last few L48 Tours very much as the areas flown offered me the opportunity to visit locations where I grew up and worked as a younger man. I would also like to comment on the Milviz DHC3 Turbine Otter. The aircraft is one of best single engine bush planes in my FSX fleet. It is as good or a better simulation than the Milviz DHC2, A2A's J3 Cub, the RealAir Scout, and the Flight Replicas Super Cubs.

The highlight for me was leg 7, my turns in to Lower Lodge Watercraft Start would have spilt more than the just the passengers coffee though from what I remember the landing was ok. The detailing in the area is superb, so much to look out for - Hope to explore more of this area soon.
Cheers
With the help of my trusty 4 April 1991 copy of the Canada Flight Supplement: MFC0157 finished MFC0007: Short Fields - BC Interior on 7 Feb 2022.
So wanted to do it with the JF C-46, but it just doesn't handle well enough to get in and out of some of the locations, let alone hand-flying. So back to the DC-3s.
MFC0157 Finished MFC0008 Rainbow Range to Misty's via Twin Otter on 08-02-22. Weather was pretty miserable but the Twotter got us through. That would also have been fun in a Twin Twin Otter, aka Dash-7...
Woohoo on the 100 flights! This is the best of five VA's I've been part of.
MFC0009 CIRP Circuit completed 9-2-22. Dang old P3D crashed on me as I was rolling out at PAKT so I filed it as is.

Good Evening, MFC0004 completed 3rd March 2022 by Chris Grubb, MFC0189
Added a cheap DHC2 to the hangar and used that for the second half of the tour, very stable and easy to fly, still a bit baffled by the fuel selector and gauges, not sure why I'm getting critical fuel messages when I think I'm on a full tank but will figure it out.
Good Evening, MFC0120 just completed Tour 33 (MFC0033). Harry Yang.
Hi,
MFS0002 Whittier to Whitehorse (Alaska Glacier Series) tour completed on 6 March 2022 by David Straka, Pilot ID#MFS0183.
Real weather was a bit sketchy, so I had to turn it off for a few flights. It's very difficult to find some of the runways that are covered in snow.

William Butler, Pilot MFC0105, completed Tour MFC0047 Rockies 7-Boise Air Terminal-Gowen ID to Jackson Hole WY (KBOI-KJAC) on 3/7/2022. As always I thoroughly enjoyed flying the Tour. Have had to reduce my flying as we are selling our house and moving into a senior living community here in ABQ. My flying will be reduced through April when we hope to be settled in our new home.
The best to you and all Misty Flying Club enthusiasts.

Hi,
MFS0003 Whitehorse to Ketchikan (Alaska Glacier Series) tour completed on 26 March 2022 by David Straka, Pilot ID#MFS0183.

MFC0005 completed 3rd April 2022 by Chris Grubb, MFC0189
Well that was a fun tour and sure went up a gear in difficulty, I had a hard time finding some of those snow covered runways and landing (and stopping!) on short strips was quite a challenge. As ever the locations were a delight and enjoyed exploring them.
Hello LA team

Hi Norm,
MFC0008 completed 26th April 2022 by MFC0189. Nice to get the DHC6 out again, I had a look at tours 6 & 7 but a quick trip in the DC3 convinced me they were ones to come back to later!

Sorry for the drop out past three months, I broke my arm, and am now flying one handed on my hotas!

I am relying on autopilot for long stretches at the mo, sorry!

Hi Norm,
MFC0009 CIRP Circuit pass completed 3rd May 2022 by MFC0189, quite enjoyed spotting the various stations, it looked a bit chilly down there, will bring the skis another time and pay a visit.
Cheers, Chris.
The bad weather in the area, and the spring works in the Perigord, in France, delayed me to finish this magnificent journey.

Hi Norm,
as you might have seen I completed the MSFS Tour 19 in single (charter) legs because I did not flew the previous tours. I wonder if you will accept this in the award list...
Trench 1 was a good one for learning landscape, regions and getting gnosis. :). I always tried, flying fremdly flightplans to look after (Google-Wikipedia) where I am flying over...
I followed the Snake River more upstream then Pocatello up to Idaho Falls, Alpecin, Jackson Hole and found some of the origines of Snake River in Jackson Lake (Dam) and more wider up in the mountains and I will finish Snake River course to Three-Cities as charter legs.
This inspired me to investigate in the Columbia River, make flight plans and scenery (P3Dv5*) and began to search for Mississippi origin, flight plans and scenery.
Will see what comes out
Hi Norm,
MFC0012 TF Docks-Ketchikan to Wrangell completed 29th October 2022 by MFC0189. I see Tongass PTF AI Stations Wrangell is up next - no idea how to fly a helicopter so will stick to my trusty DHC2.

Thanks Norm, it was Misty Moorings that finally convinced me to move on from FS2004, that and having a PC with enough power to run FSX. Maybe in another 10 years I'll be flying the tours in MSFS.

MFC0015 SIRP Petersburg Exploration finally finished, 24 Jan 2023 by MFC0157 Jeremy Oreskovich...
...only about eight months or so after I started. Had to ad-lib quite a bit as really all of SIRP and some other airfields (NACR on the last leg) are available in MSFS. Otherwise, not bad.

Hi,
MFS0005 RTMM Misty Fjords District USFS Cabins – USFS2 tour completed on 29 January 2023 by David Straka, Pilot ID#MFS0183.
I flew this one with the date set to August for better weather. I had trouble starting a flight from Humpback Lake Cabin (HBK). MSFS 2020 froze on the loading screen on three attempts. I ended up starting at Annette Island (PANT) and slewing to Humpback Lake Cabin before starting Cigar Box and I flew all remaining legs in one session. I don't know why I couldn't start from the Cabin (parking spot or runway) in the default Beaver.
I'm still working on the best approach speeds, power settings, and visual picture for the Beaver. This is the aircraft I've been waiting for to fly the RTMM tours. I hope I didn't exceed the max decent rate. Some of those lakes are deep down in the valley and require steep descents.
David

MFS0006 RTMM Craig District Cabins (USFS4) tour completed on 3 February 2023 by David Straka, Pilot ID#MFS0183.

Hi,
MFS0007 RTMM Thorne Bay District Cabins (USFS8) tour completed on 5 February 2023 by David Straka, Pilot ID#MFS0183.
I flew this one with the date set to September for better weather. Here are a few notes I made:
Flight 3: "Crashed" into beach after stopping at all stops; had to re-fly the flight, so skipped all intermediary stops. Black Bear Lake Cabin (BBLC)was the most challenging.
Flight 4: Destination KPB should be KPB1
Flight 5: Departure KPB should be KPB1
UPDATE: Wanted to mention that I purchased ORBX Alaska Mesh during this flight. It seems subtly different, and somehow more natural than the default mesh.
David

MFC0019 Juneau Milk Run completed 7 Feb 23 by MFC0157 J. Oreskovich.

MFC0014 TF Docks, Cabins and other POI – Wrangell-Petersburg is finish.
MFC0020 Travelling the Yukon completed 13 Feb 23 by MFC0157 Jeremy Oreskovich.
Only one small hitch on this one: on leg 26, the destination 9AK2 doesn't exist in MSFS. There is indeed a village there, and a road through town, but it's steep like a French altiport and way too narrow for the DC-3. Gave it a circle and continued to Russian Mission.

Hi Norm, MFC0014 TF Docks, Cabins and other PO completed on 19th Feb by MFC0189 Chris Grubb. Loved this tour, there is some great scenery to enjoy - was even greeted by a pod of Orcas at the Ruth Lake Hydro :) I've added rudder pedals to my setup and thats been an absolute game changer for taxiing on the ground, takes a bit more getting used to in the air but adds a new dimension.
Cheers
Chris.
MFC0021 Alaska West to King Salmon completed 20 Feb 23 by MFC0157 Jeremy Oreskovich.
Think I'll wait a few days to start the next one: the ORBX Caribou is due to be released on the 23rd.
Also, the audio in the Carenado C337 is outstanding. Seat squeaks and cabin creaks in turbulence, gear squeaks and bumps on the ground, and a lovely growly engine note.
MFC0015 SIRP Petersburg Exploration is finish :)
Thank you Norm. I intend to keep simming as long as my health holds up. I still flew for real until 2015 when I had to give it up for health reasons. RTMM and MFC are by far the best organizations in the flight sim world. Thank all of you for your hard work and effort.

Hi,
MFS0008 RTMM TF Docks A-B tour completed on 1 March 2023 by David Straka, Pilot ID#MFS0183.
I flew this one with the date set to September and clear skies. I had to re-fly one leg due to 2 hard landings. I also had to chase a few bears away to use the outhouse :).
David

MFC0022 King Salmon to the Aleutian Islands completed 5 March 2023 by MFC0157 Jeremy Oreskovich.
Real weather, too. Up to 65 knot winds at altitude, right along the flight path! Slow as hell getting there, quite speedy on the return. Caribou flew like a champ, I cannot recommend this plane enough.
MFC0023 Kodiak Island Run was completed by MFC0157 by Jeremy Oreskovich.
Did it in realtime, too. Six hours continuous with just a few pauses for messages and so forth. Might do that more often.

Hi Norm, MMFC0015 SIRP Petersburg Exploration completed on 26th March by MFC0189 Chris Grubb. Hi Norm, I'm still working on MFS0008. I did leg 7 today but the FP stopped at TF12 and I couldn't find PWR so I went on to PAAP, Port Alexander and stopped. CB wouldn't file a PIREP. Wonder if you would show leg 7 as finished so I can continue my mission? Thanks ::)

Hi Norm, MFC0017 TF Docks & Cabin inspections Petersburg to Juneau completed on 29th April by MFC0189 Chris Grubb.
Some of those cabins were hard to spot but I think I got most of them. Highlights of this trip were Pelican SPB and the final run in to Juneau, the ORBX scenery is superb. I've upgraded to 3 screens since the last trip and while it is a bit of a letter box its so much more immersive and I found it easier to judge approaches. Next upgrade is to build a few key instruments so I dont need to flick the view up and down.
Note -
I had a bit of trouble loading flightplans that started from saved locations but got round it by using Plan G to add a start point that FSX does recognise, exporting to FSX and picking up the route part way through, I probably read that tip on here somewhere and it might just be user error on my part but adding here in case its useful to anyone else.

William Butler, Pilot MFC0105, Completed Tour MFC0052 Rockies 12-Owikeno S Strip to Terrace (PF55-CYXT) on 23/11/14.
This was the most attractive (beautiful views of the Canadian Rockies) and challenging Tour I have yet flown particularly flying the Amphibious Beaver. I would mention Kildala Pass (PF14) and Quail River Fishing Camp (PF09) as an airfield and water landing area that required an over flight and planning before landing. There were others but I particularly liked these two. The Milviz Beaver requires close coordination between nose attitude and power to establish constant airspeed and rate of descent on approach. Slight changes in nose attitude can result in large changes in the VSI rate of descent. This is particularly important in the landing transition as MSFS does not model ground effect well (my opinion).
I would like to mention that the earlier problem I had with scenery displaying in the Sim was because after my long layoff I had forgotten that for scenery to display in the Sim it had to be selected in the Sim Scenery Library.
Finally, I would like to say that your integration of RTMM and Orbx Scenery with the Misty Flying Club has to be the best bush flying site on the Web. Thank you for your continued work on MFC. I truly appreciate the help you have provided me and look forward to more enjoyable flying with MFC.
Bill
Hello Norm.
I'm fairly new here (though older than dirt in meat space :-) and thought it was about time I said ”Hi”. I have been simming since FS 4.0 and have flown tubeliners with the VPA for many years. I have always had a soft spot for bush flying though, and am having loads of fun flying the tours up the coast. Thank you and your colleagues very much for your efforts with RTMM.
I say ”up the coast” because I reside in Victoria, BC and have lived in many parts of our province. It is therefore great fun to fly in familiar territory. Because of my domicile I have a particular fondness for the deHavilland aircraft, and for the mostpart they are well suited to the endeavors of the Misty Flying Club. So far, I have spent most of my time in the Beaver and Caribou (unfortunately I didn't pick up the Twotter soon enough, though am hopeful for a relaunch) .
I have recently acquired the DHC-1 Chipmunk and DHC-7 Dash 7 and wonder if these might be added into the selectable aircraft in the tours and Cigar Box? I would use the Chipmunk for the shorter land only tours and the Dash 7 for the longer ones. I concede the Dash 7 doesn't quite fit with the ”bush flying” ethos, but would appreciate your indulgence due to my local interest in the brand.
Thank you again for your efforts and ” keep the rubber side down” as we used to say in my motorcycling days :-)
Matt ”Deuce” (twice as good as an Ace)

Good to be back.
Harry Yang MFC0120 completed tour MFC0045
MFC0033 "Sitka-Haida Gwaii-Port Hardy POI Excursion" completed 11DEC23 by MFC0157 Jeremy Oreskovich.
Now off to Bowerman where there is a Transall with my name on it. Well, there's no good Herc in MSFS, so a Euro-Herc will have to do.
Hi Norm, I am thinking of flying "The Trench Pt 1" after I finish Hoonah Cabins (likely today). By alternating the "around North America" tours with the local Alaska/BC ones it will give me a bit more variety with the scenery and available aircraft.
On that note I am thinking of using the new Dash 7 for the Trench and wonder if you could add it into the available aircraft for that tour. I know I can now select the Dash 7 in Cigar Box but it would be nice to just enter it once at tour selection. Not a big deal though so only if it is an easy change for you. Thanks if you can.
Matt
ps. managed to pick up a twotter from a buddy not using it anymore. Quite enjoyable despite the bad reviews.
MFC0029 Valdez-Merrill Air Services, finish. Long Trip
You just finished MFC0029.. (You are referring to Tour MFC0030).thank you, Norm.
But when you joined tour MFC0030 you didn't select an aircraft so the bid "crapped" out in the system account aircraft missing. (I have removed you from that tour, and have re-added you with a valid aircraft (DHC2).. but the corrupt bid is in the database so you are stuck.. I have sent an email to Henry to purge the bid out of the system.. He will advise when done then you will be back in business.
Norm
Everything was ok again, was able to book the next flight.
Many thanks
Greetings Kalle
MFC0038 PNW ORBX Bowerman Hub Tour completed 17DEC23 by MFC0157 Jeremy Oreskovich.
I ended up doing it in the PMDG DC-6, a honey of a plane that was the first thing I ever bought for MSFS, as I had the FSX version and adored it. Thanks for the reminder, Norm!
News Bulletin - December 20, 2023:
In the MFC news today, Pilot Karl Klotz (MFC0096), has reached the 2000 flight hours milestone at MFC. Karl is the first pilot, ever, to reach 2000 flight hours at MFC! Congratulations Sir Karl.
Thank-you so much for your continued support at the Misty Flying Club and for your involvement here at RTMM, the latest effort being your creation of the SIRP Ice Stations for MSFS. Well done Karl and a sincere thank-you.

Norm,
Wiliam Butler, Pilot MFC0105, completed Tour MFC0054 Exploration into the CIRP (CZST-CZST) on New Years Day, 24-1-1.
I found this Tour very enjoyable but also challenging. The ice field landing areas were difficult to see at altitude and when low enough to see the landing fields it was difficult to line up on some runways. Steep terrain around some air fields was difficult to identify as was the up hill direction on some of the runways. I particularly liked leg 23 as descent over Bower Lake and turn toward the airfield made for a good approach.
Finding Kitsault Gold Pan airfield took some time and also made me feel like I was back actually flying in the bush!
Hope you have an enjoyable and productive 2024.

...We don't have them in MFSF yet...

...That being the 2500 flights at MFC milestone. ..
...The last "RTMM" pieces that are missing from MSFS is the CIRP Ice Station...
...Am I really the first pilot to do this leg?

I just signed up and will fly it a 2nd time, now with the Shorts 330.

May get a visit from the Friendly FAA Inspector for flying down the Strip at treetop level in a Transall. Heh.
Norm,
William Butler, Pilot MFC0105, completed Tour MFC0055 Cabins by the Lakes 1 (CZST-PAGY) on 1-29-2024.
Another very enjoyable Tour. Several of the cabins were located in valleys where the Plan-G map did not show landing areas well requiring visual inspections to determine approach path to best landing area. Very much like actual bush flying. I am amazed at the detail of the Orbx scenery making MFC flying so realistic and enjoyable. Only one location (Laughton Glacier Cabin) was not accessible for me using the Scout amphibian in summer. To access this cabin I used the Flight Replicas Classic 160HP super cub on skis (a very good aircraft) in winter.

Completed MFC0028 Kenai Peninsula to the County of Valdez-Cordova on 2/1/24 by Alan, pilot # MFC0083.
This tour had quite a combination of water, glacier, and cabins-by-creeks landings. Lots of stops, but enjoyed seeing all the scenery additions from RTMM. :D
Thanks Karl! Always a pleasure to fly here!

MFC0031 The X Factor - Juneau to Terrace is finish :)
There are problems with Flight 1, MFC0032 FedEx Terminals for RTMM - Terrace-Sitka.
This flight exists in your bids!
You have not bid on any flights
MFC0022 King Salmon to the Aleutians finally completed by Chris Grubb MFC 189 8th Feb. It took me a bit longer than planned but got there in the end. Norm - you weren't wrong about the weather, very blustery in places and found out a bit more about the de-icing systems.
Will go back to core Misty for tour 7 which I missed first time round and then back to Kodiak for a bit more fun.
Cheers - Chris.
Norm,
William Butler, Pilot MFC0105, completed Tour MFC0056 Cabins by the Lakes 2 (PAGY-CYXY) on 2-13-24.
Have enjoyed the very realistic bush flying of this and the previous Tour. I am looking forward to more bush flying in the Yukon and once again flying in Alaska. I have fond memories of flying out of Cordova during the Alaska Oil Spill.
Thanks for the Misty Flying Club!

MFC0032 FedEx Terminals for RTMM is finish :)
Tour MFC0029 Valdez-Merrill Air Services completed on 2/25/24 by MFC0083 - Alan.
I liked flying the larger twin engine plane on this tour, but the shorter fields (<2000 ft)were somewhat challenging to land and take off from. Microsoft, et al, seem to enjoy having tall trees too close to the ends of the runways. I used the Douglas C-117D USN_17191 (Super DC3) that I thoroughly enjoy operating.
Norm,
William Butler, Pilot MFC0105, completed Tour MFC0057 Whitehorse to Valdez (CYXY-PAVD) on 2-27-24. I flew Dusky Canada Goose Surveys on the Copper River Delta from 1986-1990 and Coastline surveys of Prince William Sound from 1990-1993 following the Alaska Oil Spill. It is hard for me to believe that it was over 40 years ago (1982) when Dee and I arrived in Alaska. The Misty Flying Club provides an experience that makes me feel like I am actually back flying in Alaska. Thank you for MFC.

MFS0020 The Trench (Part 2) completed 27Feb24 by MFC0157 Jeremy Oreskovich.
From snow and icing conditions to the Gulf Coast. What a tour.
Norm,
William Butler, Pilot MFC0105, completed Tour MFC0058 BWEP Southern Alaska SAK (PAVD-PAXK) on 2024-03-06. I enjoyed this Tour but had an interesting time. When I first went to the Tour Center to sign in to Tour 58 I found I was already signed up but no aircraft had been selected (not sure how this happened). I choose to fly a Cessna 185 and had to add it to Cigars at the start of each leg. I found some of the RTMM air fields on this Tour challenging for the 185, particularly Z55. Tried several approaches just above stall speed high with full flaps and low power and low straight in with power on from both directions. With the airfield in a bowl and trees at both ends I never made it in to my satisfaction. So on leg 8 I added the flight replicas super cub and made it in without incident. Not sure why the PIREP did not show the plane used as I added the Cub the same way I did the 185 on all other legs.
I am looking forward to more challenges as we continue into Interior Alaska.

Norm,
William Butler MFC Pilot 0105 completed Tour MFC0059 BWEP Richardson Hwy (PAXK to PAFA) on 24/3/17.
This Tour also had some challenging airfields for me and in the Beaver and was very enjoyable. I look forward to the next BWEP Tour. Did not realize I had reached the 800 hour mark on completion of the last Tour. Thanks for the notice.

Norm,
William Butler, MFC Pilot 0105, completed Tour MFC0060 BWEP The Interior (PAFA-PF63) on 24/3/30. It is hard to believe it is the 6th anniversary of the the Misty Flying Club. The older I get the faster time seems to go by. I believe I came on board in 2019. Your help in getting me started on the site was indispensable. I want thank you for your time and effort in developing and keeping the Misty Flying Club up and running. I look forward to many more enjoyable hours of bush flying.

Hello team, Another fabulous tour completed. MFC0036 Approaching Olympic National Park
Knowing a bit about the state of Washington, I really appreciated this tour and it would have been boring for me not to have been able to finish it.
Thanks again to you for allowing me to "fly" again and always on good old FSX.
"I'm going to be able to start the descent to San Diego now."
See you soon
Norm,
Dee wanted me to thank you for the warm thoughts and wishes you and Cyndi the best. She also wanted to thank you for keeping me flying!

Norm,
William Butler, MFC Pilot 0105, completed Tour MFC0062 BWEP Gates of the Arctic (PAPR-PAGB) on 24/04/13.
I did not spend much time on the North Slope when I was in Alaska. Just one trip through Anaktuvuk Pass and on to west of Deadhorse to band White Fronted Geese. It is a bit nostalgic for me as my best friend was the leader of the banding team. He was was a biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and one of the best bush pilots in Alaska. He taught me a lot but passed away too soon about 8 years ago. Memories like this one are another reason reason I appreciate the Misty Flying Club.
Bill
Norm,
William Butler, Pilot MFC0105, completed Tour MFC0063 BWEP North Slope (PAGB to PASC) on 24/04/20.
I would like to complement Brad and Doug for a fantastic job of placing the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, the on shore oil support sites around Prudhoe Bay, the off shore drilling rigs, and the air fields along the way. I flew leg 4 out of Deadhorse and I don't think I would have gotten a better view of North Slope Oil development if I had flown the same route when I was there. A real testament to the quality of the Misty Flying Club and RTMM.
I am really looking forward to heading south with Tour MFC0064 Coastal Alaska-Deadhorse to King Salmon (PASC-PAKN) as much of my flying in Alaska occurred there. I have been to every village along the west coast of Alaska from King Salmon to Cape Lisbourne. I spent ten years flying goose surveys and banding geese on the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta and also spent time banding geese in tidal areas south of Kotzebue, and near Buckland and Shismaref. I only mention my Alaska experience to let you know why I enjoy and appreciate the Misty Flying Club and your efforts.
