Title: shipping
Post by: Teecee on February 05, 2018, 04:43:30 PM
I have just installed Prepar3d 4.1 and need to DL shipping as most of my ships in my addon sceneries are showing up black. Which DL is most likely to hold the best (or most) ships please? Teecee.

Teecee,
on AVSIM search Hienrik Nielson and you will find D/L files for hundreds of ships.  I had them installed before I had to install a new HD due to the old one failing and they were great addition all around the world.

Here is a link to Heinriik's Global ship files (2) it gives you shipping around the world.  I don't know if its P3/4D compatible but it seems it is from the descriptions.

http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=global+ai+ship+traffic+v1&CatID=root&Go=Search ...

Hope the link works.  If not the file names are:
1. global_ai_ship_traffic_v1.zip
2. 200_ai_ship_and_ship_traffic_v2.zip

Indeed Henrik Nielsen's (& company) global ship packages: (2 files only are required)

1. global_ai_ship_traffic_v1.zip   and
2. 200_ai_ship_and_ship_traffic_v2.zip

Note: global_ai_ship_traffic_v1.zip had a few older models which were cnot compatible with P3Dv4x but are updated/corrected in the 2nd package. So these must be placed in order, Extract 1, then 2. Then folders from 2. are copied to the foldes in 1. (Over-writing). And then all good for full compatibly with P3Dv4.
(See readme). They have also created a ship locator for these ships (google earth).
These global ships are a great sim add.

When talking about ships, one should not forget the fabulous Larry Robinson Ferry system in PNW. Never seen that quality of ships before. Package includes ships, routes + scenery of terminals and fits 100% in Orbx PNW.
Link to downloads: https://larobinson22.wordpress.com/links-to-scenery-files/ (https://larobinson22.wordpress.com/links-to-scenery-files/).
May look a bit complicated to install, but is absolutely worhtwhile.
Cheers.

To make it easier for you to find them: here is a csv file for Plan G. It shows all the terminals, landing docks + mooring points that I was able to find until now (blue squares). Mainly BC Ferries and WHS Ferries. If you find new ones, feel free to add them and repost the file.
Enjoy.

Here are 6 flightplans for plan G, made by my friend Ivan Werbrouck. They cover a visit to all the venues of Larry Robinsons Ferry system, that he discovered until now. See also the CSV file that was posted earlier.
Enjoy.
