Title: Where are the groups for downloading
Post by: Japo32 on December 04, 2017, 04:15:20 AM
Hello!

Following all the instructions, there is a part where it says about the groups, that with a single click you can download a good ammount of stuff. In the example is very easy (missing cabins) as it says where you have to click to automatically download them.
BUT yesterday I wanted to start the medical RTMM experience and went to the E001H mission. Clicked over the WChugach #1 and installed (it said it was an update part1).
When I was over the place of the injured with my helicopter I didn't see anything (would be nice they could have smoke! :P)
So this morning I check out next mission with same name scenary WChugach #1 and realized that it was different, with more contect downloaded, but still put part1.
Remembering the GROUPS stuff I thought: look for the chugach word in the list and there you will have all...
I look for chugach in the table and have the Western Chugach in red. GOOD IS A GROUP!! but...... where is the link? I have a map link.. a triptic, with information, and some download links for tips and info and flight plans.. but not the full scenery.. If there is a part1 there has to be a part2..
I have to confess that I am a bit missing with the groups.

Another question. there are thousands of scenaries. I don't want to create a huge list of them in P3Dv4. Can I join them inside scenery folder and texture folder in an unique scenery?

Really Thanks for the great addition! Would be nice if all this info where converted into Xplane, as the helicopters in P3D FSX are really very bad ones. :P

Thanks!

Hi Japo32,

The Western Chugach - Part 1 is all that has been released so far.  It is stand alone.  Part 2 is not out yet.

Sounds like you are talking of having used the "Go To" table.  It does not give you a link for the main scenery download shown in the right column (in red).  You have to go to the Addon Scenery section and download it.  The Western Chugach - Part 1 download is under "T"  in the Addon Scenery section (main Site tab is Scenery).  Use the first button marked "ZIP" to download the  main scenery.

We do recommend that you keep each scenery loaded separately which does create a long list.  The separate sceneries should not be combined into one Scenery and one Texture folder.

RTMM does not have any plans to support X-Plane.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!

I'm glad that you've found that the helicopters in X-Plane meet your needs better than FSX\P3D and RTMM can provide. At the same time I'm glad that you've found that our scenery, and literally thousands of other offerings, better suit your needs better than anything that X-Plane can hope to provide.

Yes! as creator for xplane, I know perfectly well where are his weak points! but that doesn't mean they cannot be better than any other simulator. The problem is time and people working at it.
About what I have seen in the RTMM they are really great, because they add the details needed to a great scenery already. Thanks a lot for your work!

About the group downloads. Now I have it a little more clear!! Thanks a lot for the explanation! Good Flights!

Yes yes.. I tried it in a convention and is the best flight dynamics that FSX can achieve. But still are very far away from xplane ones specially in helicopters.
I have the Cera AS365 for this medical missions, and I put the HTR config file to give it better physics... but still...... (by the way I have a problem with that helicopter and HTR that makes the Landing gears not moving up or down when I using it)

Dodo needs to be converted to P3Dv4 still.
