Flying to the Avoss Lake USFS cabin, a little surprise ... no lake. It also didn't not show up on the GPS map either. Not sure what the problem might be with this one. Settings at 5 meters and 7 cm. Using Global Vector and NA Landclass with Pilots Mesh.

Here's what I see at the same location. Only difference is I'm using FSXDX10 and no Pilot's Mesh.
-
Just for fun, I unchecked Pilots Mesh ... got the same result. So it must be something else.
Thanks for that pic and post!
-
I started removing things ... the ORBXOPENLC group (NA1, NA2, Europe, etc) was causing the problem. When I unchecked these. The lake returned.

Doug,
Do not think it's OrbX products. I have NA and Alaska, this is what I see.

Hi Dale .. all I know is I 'unchecked' them and I'm seeing the lake. So maybe it is interfering with something else? Beats me. Just flew back from Avoss Lake to Sitka, everything looking OK, who knows what the elves are doing in our computers while we sleep?? :-) Thank you for the pic and the comment ... curiouser and curiouser.

Sitting at Avoss Lake cabin. ;)

It has to be "where" I have things in my scenery library. When I uncheck the ORBXOPENLC folders, it works fine.
The "pink" shows they are "unchecked". I've got them right below the FTX stuff. then the OLC stuff below. Is your's that way Jeff? This configuration gives me the lake fine. Everything else looks OK too, but ORBXOPENLC folders are "off."

Here is what mine looks like. (or what you can see of it anyway.) :P N and S America near bottom.

Interesting, your ORBX!OPENLC files are below Tongass Fjords. Do you have OLC-NA_Lights, OLC_NA1, OLC_NA2 and OLC_SA1? If so where are those?
-
I don't have ANY named OLC anything! What is that? ??? Only ORBX!OPENLC_???? in mine. :-\
Yes, my Tongass Fjords is the "insertion point" for the OpenLC files, as specified in FTX Central 3.
-
Darned if I know what they are. I'll take them out and turn on ORBXOPENLC again and see what happens.
Update: OK, I took those OLC one out. I put the ORBX!OPENLC folders below Tongass X ... everything looks good.

It appears that the OLC files may be a result of a "manual install". The folder names are OLC, but Orbx names the entry ORBX!OPENLC when it installs it. If you do it manually, the result would be files named as yours were. So you had doubled the install of Open LC. Does that sound close?
-
It makes as much sense as anything! :-) Flying back to Sitka now, everything looks beautiful. Must have been those files screwing me up. Thanks Jeff (and the other folks too!)

Doug remember your insertion point chart! LC has to be below the all of the FTX entrres and below Tongass. You have a conflict and it is a fatal CTD.
Insertion Point - FTX is below your 3party adds. (For me that is my RTMM libraries)
Insertion point - OpenLC has to below Tongass Lower) (which will sit those LC entries just above Bathmetry)
With these insertion points set as above, that places Tongass between all the FTX entries and all openLC entries which is the correct location.
-
What was throwing me off was the OLC folders. I think Jeff was correct. Must have been some manual entry. And I had them below the real LC folders. I’ve got it all correct now. That chart is right on.

Flying the RTMM Flight Plans again, this time with an ending indicating altitude, take off medium ... Avoss Lake USFS Cabin from Sitka, AK - 1200 - W-W.pln ...
So you'll be able to look at a plan and know what kind of plane to use and what altitude to expect. I'm finished with the A's into the B's now. (New RTMM Flight Plans.zip being put up as I do this). I'm also making a "scenario" for each of the locations so people can "start" there if they want to. That's still on the beta page.
I'm finding little things that need to be fixed at some of the locations, and am making slight adjustments in the flight plans. Since we still have the problem of P3D V3 not working (Win 10 update problem), the IS3 isn't operational, so I can't fix these as I see them, making a list. We're supposed to have a fix on Nov 14, so then I can go after this list of things I've found and make things better.
But it looks like I have P3D V4 finally sorted out and it is working fine. Snowing today in Valdez.
