Title: I'm gonna sit at Misty's and drink!
Post by: spud on September 05, 2017, 03:24:11 PM: Sheesh! Been feverishly working on getting FSX backup and everything installed again. Installs are proceeding OK but now I'm getting an "out of memory" error after a few min. of flying. Can't seem to find the problem. WIN 10 is so much more complicated than previous versions that trying to find things to check or modify is a monumental PITA.
I'm holding off getting RTMM scenery until I work it all out as I've been downloading and installing sim stuff for the past week. Including once again having to buy Tongass Fjords X (for the third time now!)
Well back to the old disable files in the Scenery Library and re-enable until I find the offending crap that is messing with my fragile ol' brain.

I know what you mean about Win10. My wife has it and, since I am her tech support, I have learned a lot about it and am convinced to stay on Win 7 until I am forced to change due to lack of Win 7 support from some product company some time in the future.

Sue,
I lost all my info to activate TFX when the computer was scrubbed clean. Additionally I have had a very bad history with the company in the past. Their support is next to impossible to weedle thru and get any results that actually work.
Matter of fact my credit union had to send me a new VISA card due to some foulup by them during the first attempt to purchase their software.

If it were not for the fact that so much of RTMM is located in that scenery I wouldn't bother although it is excellent scenery for simming.

Well, keeping fingers (legs, elbows, eyes and toes) crossed.

RTMM reg. scenery all re-installed and appears to work. Scenery Tester shows all objects correctly which it did yesterday and today I had to re-install two Libraries to get them all showing again, go figure! :-\

Still have some of the special stuff, Hawaii, CIRP etc. to put in but for now I'm going to give myself a birthday present and a rest all at once and fly for a bit before starting on more installs. :o

I'm not quite old enough to remember WWI but I remember where I was when WWII ended. Ran for home thinking my Dad would be there.
