Somehow, somewhere the glorious part of the world "got into my blood".

When something like that happens you can't resist the pull for too long before you find yourself parked up close to Misty's Place and saying "hi" to old friends while hoping the beer hasn't changed and the burgers still taste as good as they ever did.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

A cold beer is just the thing I need after a long journey from the UK.

I normally fly "metal tubes" controlled by "computers" out of Palermo in Sicily.  Well you can only do that for so long before you need a break and Misty's place is perfect for a change of pace and challenge.

My trip out here started from London Stansted jumping on-board a spare crew seat on a company B747F heading into Louisville (KSDF).  A hop to Seattle, via Dallas, followed before heading north with Alaskan into Ketchikan.

Great to be here and leave the autopilot firmly OFF!

Lionwing. I do a scenario where I fly "tubes" from KSFO (San Francisco) CA, to Seattle,WA. From there I'll go smaller, maybe a DC-5 Buffalo to PAKT. My purpose is to meet up with Kevin Costner who is interested in making a film about the Alaskan Bush. From there, bush planes to the RTMM sceneries. I've gotten a lot of air miles out of this scenario. Great fun.

It is always fun to put a bit of a back story to flight simulation.

The supporting stories behind MM make for fantastic reading and just add that little extra to a flight.

I think I need to add a few more suitable aircraft to my hangar beyond the default Beaver to give a little more variety.

Funny story, my mom made me a float the other day, but didn't have any vanilla ice cream.  She only had Maple Nut and she used that!   :o  NOT good!   ;)
