Your are Welcome! What really makes it fun for me is to see the screenshots. Of course "I" have seen it before, but it is so much fun seeing it through other peoples' eyes. Thank you for posting them. These are a lot of fun to do. You can peek at the beta section of the scenery page to see anything "coming soon."

Superb shots Handie! ;) So who parked those two vehicles on and too close to the only helipad of the Tsuniah Lake Lodge airstrip (CAF4)? :o

Thank you for the screenshots. Great to see how it looks for others.  As you are flying around, keep an eye open for "unregistered airstrips" ... they are down there and suddenly you just come across one. When you do, send me the coordinates and I'll "enhance" it like I'm doing with these.

Great pictures!

Thank you Dieter, making a list here. Those are on it now!

Norm and I are also making sure there are no FTX Freeware package airports involved in these. If that happens (with an update from them), I'll probably pull mine and recommend theirs. The airports they are putting in are EXCELLENT with attention to detail. Most of the ones I'm working on are minor strips that they probably won't enhance, they are not important enough.

Mine are just "fun", lighting for lower light and amphibious pullouts. Not "real"... but fun and a heck of a lot better than what PNW puts in there in these outlying airstrips. Boats not lined up with docks, wharfs downsized to piers with the invisible hard surfaces extending way beyond them, etc. I'm actually using a lot if exclusion rectangles to eliminate a lot if it, then putting better stuff in. Landscaping with vegetation makes these desert-like strips come alive. Where PNW has good stuff, I leave it and build around it. Turn Tsuniah off (uncheck in scenery library) and look at the dif. Then recheck it notice desert like strips are now forested areas with lots more going on.

In this area, (high altitudes) I'm mostly not putting in boats. The lake's freeze in winter. So that's why the lack of boats. I could use the season switcher, but that quadruples the work, and in minor airports I'm not sure it is worth the effort. I'd rather put the effort in more of them.

So if you see one not on Dieter's list, let me know.

Doug

Handie...great screenshots. Looking at the Sales and Service...amphibious pullout. That sharp rise to the left of the taxiway shouldn't be there. Anybody else seeing that?

However thank you so much for the screenshots.

I just uploaded the scene again and saw that there was a file more recent and big in the "Scenery" folder.
So I'll go return there and see.

Make sure you have the most recent version of Sales and Service! That rockwall glitch was in an older version.

I used "bank/pitch" on that trailer object.

I have P3D v2.4.
Title: Re: Thanks for the new landscapes
Post by: ualani on June 23, 2017, 03:04:49 PM
Is it a default FSX/P3D object or an object from the FSXP3D libraries?
Title: Re: Thanks for the new landscapes
Post by: Doug on June 23, 2017, 03:36:07 PM
It is from FSXP3D Ez-Helicopters_and_pa (don't have the rest of the file name showing).

Notice the ridge at the start of the ramp, that wasn't there before. I had it almost smoothly going up from the water, we may have to adjust that polygon ... I'll look at it here.  Here is what I am seeing:

Post by: ualani on June 23, 2017, 03:58:33 PM
Doug, my guess is that, that the new ridge in the road is just the way it follows the natural contour of the shoreline. (The road is a vector object - not to be confused with ORBX Vector - and vector objects follow natural slopes.) As for why the tractor and trailer are buried I'm not sure without having a look under the hood.
Title: Re: Thanks for the new landscapes
Post by: Doug on June 23, 2017, 04:00:05 PM
Yes, but we had a flatten polygon in there from the water half way up to the upper area and the "road" was on that polygon.  I'm working on it. Putting in a new "tilted flatten" then will put the "road" back onto it.

OK ... I think we have it. Re-download it now.  DELETE your old folder, add this new Folder. I put a new "tilted" polygon under the pullout roadway. Also moved some of the objects a little to better represent the pullout. The attached is what you should be seeing ...

(Handie! Thank you!!! ... I miss Spud's sharp eye on these things, so all of you are really helpful by pointing out the problems and being patient with us!)

Thanks!!

Yep, I think we nailed it.  Again, if you see anything, let me know.  I'm depending on your sharp eyes since I don't have "Spud's" working for us right now.  When you find something like this, it isn't criticism, we really WANT to know so we can get it right (as we did this time).

Thanks!
