Title: P3D v4 info from ORBX (JV)
Post by: spud on January 22, 2017, 11:41:14 AM
Just read a post on the ORBX site by J. Venama that hints at good things coming for P3D v4 and ORBX.
Here's a link to the post.
Its post #38

 ???

Not sure what he means, exactly.  That's a pretty vague hint.  But it does sound positive for people upgrading to P3Dv4.  I think.  :-\  Still don't know what, ... exactly.   ??? :-\ 8) :)

Thanks for posting, Spud.   8)

Yes, JV's comment is really vague i think. Let's wait and see what is comming....

Hope it will be more pleasant than ORBX last decision not supporting PayPal anymore...

http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/129935-will-orbx-products-work-if-p3d-goes-dx12-64-bit This says different guys. According to JV just an objectflow update. Knock on wood, that means OrbX for P3D 4 is a freebie! Sue

Yes they will, but we will need to update objectflow.dll when the final release version of P3Dv4 is available so some airports will not function correctly until this DLL can be updated.

FTX Central v3.1 has already been updated to cater for P3D v4.x

That "no PayPal" thing is a pain. Last night I made my first purchase in FTX Central, used Amex. When I hit the buy button, my email pinged and my phone rang...they told me someone had tried to make a purchase in Australia with my card and they had (proudly) blocked the transaction. Oh me. I had to give the card special permission and had to reorder.

Sounds like your CC company/bank is working pretty damn well if it was that fast.
I have always used a CC to purchase FS software from the web and the only problem I ever had was when Aerosoft was hacked.  I bought one thing directly from them via the web and had to have my card replaced with a new one.  ORBX and or the FSS has never presented a problem.
Lets not get a PayPal/NO PayPal discussion going here it has been done to death on the ORBX forums and for ORBX PayPal is a dead issue.  It has tied up a lot of ORBX funds (6 figures according to ORBX) and wont release them so ORBX 'circle filed' the pirates.

 8) Preferring PayPal, I chose this option. I set it up so I can transfer funds to the card from my bank when I want to use it.

What a fine idea, I'm going to look into that, thank you Sue.
