Title: adding a pilotable boat in fsx
Post by: marc2140 on August 07, 2015, 11:43:31 AM
Hi
I downloaded a couple of boats to try out in the water section.
According to the instructions, in FSX I should install them in Simobjects/boats.
But when I do this they do not appear in the list of installed vehicles in the fsx menu.
If I install them in the simobjects/aircraft directory they do appear in the menu and can be chosen.
What is the correct way to proceed?
Thx in advance.
Marcel

Marcel,
That's the way my watercraft are installed as well.  Have not had sucess with the "Boats" folder entries showing up in FSX.

OK, fair enough, spud.
Now it's up to me to learn to steer and navigate these floating things....

I learned that if it is an AI vessel, you have to put them in the boat section. If it is pilotable then it belongs in the airplane section.
But there is still a lot more to learn...
Cheers
